Today, Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) appointed Rep. Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) as vice chair of the House Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.

"I am very excited about serving as vice chair of the House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee during the 132nd General Assembly,” Koehler said. “I look forward to working with Chairman Brian Hill over the next two years to address issues directly affecting Ohio farmers. I am grateful Speaker Rosenberger has allowed me the opportunity to support agriculture in Ohio."

Agriculture remains the largest industry in the state of Ohio with over 75,000 farms covering 14 million acres. From organic to conventional, Ohio farms comprise nearly 50 percent of Ohio land and create billions of dollars in exported products.

Representative Koehler resides with his wife of 28 years, Kathrin, and their five children on their hobby farm in Springfield. He and his siblings own and operate K.K. Tool out of Springfield where he is Vice-President of Design and Development.
