11:26 a.m. – To Hamilton Ave. for a report of a theft.  A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took his GPS unit.  The suspect had also gone through the glove box and its contents were on the floor.

12:18 p.m. – To Hamilton Ave.  A man reported that someone opened the tailgate to his truck. He said that nothing was in the bed of the truck and nothing was taken or damaged.

1:01 p.m. – To Hamilton Ave.  A man reported that someone entered his unlocked car.  He said that there was nothing in the car and that nothing was taken or damaged.  He said he wanted the deputies to be aware that someone was getting into vehicles.

11:01 p.m. – To Osborn Rd.  A woman reported that she saw a post on her daughter’s Facebook page from her boyfriend stating that all he needs is “one gun and five bullets.”  The daughter said that it was not directed toward anyone and that he didn’t mean it.  She said she told her daughter not to see the boy any more.  The daughter said that she would return his items Monday at school.

Monday, January 12

8:13 p.m. – To the 400 block of Weinland St. for a report of an accident.  A driver northbound on Weinland St. went he dropped something on the floor.  He said he looked down to retrieve the object, went off the roadway and struck a utility pole and a parked vehicle.  He was charged with failure to control.

Tuesday, January 13

1:15 a.m. – To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of phone harassment.  A woman reported that she was receiving unwanted text messages from a woman who was with the father of her child.  She said that the two had been texting back and forth regarding the father seeing the child.  She said the woman then accused her of doing drugs, and she told the woman to stop texting her.  She said the woman continued to text her.

12:56 p.m. – To Lincoln Rd. for a report of a domestic dispute.  A man reported that his daughter and her three young children have been staying with him and his wife for two days.  He said that they had been arguing over the way the daughter takes care of her children.  The daughter said that her father is having a hard time with three children in such a small home.  She advised that she would be staying with her sister in Park Layne.

4:45 p.m. – To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of an assault.  A man reported that he came home and found his wife in the laundry room. He said that they have been having marital issues, so he took the phone, locked himself in the bedroom and tried to unlock the phone to go through her calls.  He said that she started yelling that she was going to break his items unless he unlocked the door.  He said that once he unlocked thedoor, she jumped on his back knocking him to the ground and tried to get the phone out of his pocket.  He said he told her he was calling the police and she bit him on the arm.  He said he wants to press charges.

5:27 p.m. – To Coachhill Ln. for a report of a missing juvenile.  A woman reported that her six-year-old son did not return home from school.  The bus garage and the school were contacted, and the boy was located at school.  The driver stated that no one answered the door when the child came home, so he was taken back to the school.

8:49 p.m. – To E. Carpenter Dr.  A woman reported that her daughter was with some friends the weekend after Christmas and that she was engaging in activities that the woman didn’t like.  She said that on at least two occasions the daughter was with boys and was drinking and smoking marijuana with permission of the boy’s parents.  The boy’s mother was contacted and said that the girl did drink and smoke marijuana in her home.  She was charged with allowing a minor to drink alcohol in her residence without the permission of the parent.

Wednesday, January 14

7:25 a.m. – To N. Scott St. for a report of a domestic disturbance.  A woman reported that she was arguing with her brother.  She said that during the argument her brother jumped on her, hit her in the head and grabbed her neck choking her.  The brother admitted to doing what his sister said.  He was charged with domestic violence and assault and taken to the Clark County Jail.

3:19 p.m. – To Choctaw Dr. for a report of identity theft.  A man reported that he received a letter informing him that two credit cards had been opened in his name.  He said that he did not apply for them.

3:49 p.m. – To Weinland St. for a report of vandalism.  A man reported that someone had cracked the windshield of his vehicle.  There were also two small dents with missing paint on the driver’s side.  There are no suspects.

7:08 p.m. – To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend had been staying with her for a week after he was released from jail. She said that they began arguing about his speaking to other females and the argument turned violent.  She said that he threw her onto the bed, smacked her face and wrapped his hands around her neck choking her.  Warrants were issued against the boyfriend for domestic violence and assault.

9:45 p.m. – To Union Rd. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that a truck entered a field and drove to his property line.  His home had been entered, but the suspects had left.  He showed a video of the truck entering the property and the deputy recognized it from a traffic stop a few days earlier.  The owner was contacted, and said that a friend had used the truck.  He said the friend called and told him to pick up his truck on Union Rd.  The truck was towed and placed on hold for further investigation.

Thursday, January 15

2:50 p.m. – To W. Lake Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance.  A woman reported that her boyfriend asked her if she wanted to do heroin with him.  She said that she brushed the powder off of the counter.  She said he grabbed her wrists and pushed her over a night stand and onto the bed.  She said she was able to fight him off and locked herself in the bathroom.  The boyfriend was placed under arrest for domestic violence and assault and taken to the Clark County Jail.

4:32 p.m. – To McAdams Dr. for a report of two males sitting outside of the business harassing customers.  A deputy arrived and found the two males sitting on a bench.  He could detect and “overpowering smell of alcohol.”  Both slurred their speech so badly that they were difficult to understand, but said that they were “sitting around like Mayberry.”  A store employee said that he had walked by the men, they asked for money, he refused and they became belligerent.  Customers coming into the business were advising that the same thing happened to them.  Both men denied any such activity and said they were just taking a break from collecting cans.  They were charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

6:24 p.m. – To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance.  A woman reported that her boyfriend would not give her a key to the apartment so she could remove her belongings.  The boyfriend said that he did not feel comfortable giving her a key so she could enter while he was not home.  He was advised that he cannot keep her out of the apartment since they both lived there and are both listed on the lease agreement.  The property manager agreed to give her a key to the apartment.  Both parties were advised to stay separated.

6:37 p.m. – To Western Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance.  A woman reported that her elderly father got mad at her, put her hands around her neck and tried to choke her.  She said her daughter came to try to rescue her mother and the father pushed her onto the couch and kicked her.  The father was placed under arrest for two counts of domestic violence and two counts of assault, and was transported to the Clark County Jail.

7:16 p.m. – To Union Rd. for a report of a burglary.  A man reported that he has had numerous issues with someone breaking into the vacant residence and stealing property.  He said that today he drove by the residence and saw a light on in the kitchen.  Deputies searched the residence and found no one inside.  The man said that a large white freezer was missing from the kitchen.

11:45 p.m. – To S. St. Rt. 235 for a report of a domestic disturbance.  A man reported that he was involved in an argument with his girlfriend, but that the argument did not become physical.  He had two glass pipes that he said he used to smoke marijuana.  The girlfriend confirmed that the argument was only verbal.  The boyfriend was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and ordered into court.

Friday, January 16

No Time Listed – To Troy Rd. for a report of a custody dispute.  A man reported that he arrived to pick up his children for visitation but the mother did not bring them out.  He said it appeared that no one was home.  He wanted the incident documented for court purposes.

3:20 a.m. – To Gerlaugh Rd.  A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend has been texting her all night wanting to get back together with her.  One of the texts indicated that he was going to show up at her school in Vandalia with a gun.  She said that he is under investigation by Fairborn Police for assaulting her a few months ago.  She was advised to check with Fairborn Police on the progress of their investigation and to get a protection order in Clark County.  Vandalia police were contacted and advised of the threat.

10:53 a.m. – To Croskey Blvd. for a report of a theft.  A man reported that while he was away, someone entered his home and took two generators and a computer.; He said that another resident of the park had stolen from him before and he suspects that person.  A nearby shop reported that the suspect tried to sell him the generators, but he did not buy them.  The man who tried to sell the generators is the same person the RP suspected.  

3:00 p.m. – To Gordon Rd. for a report of a theft.  A woman reported that someone entered her property and took a bike, a lawn mower, some outdoor furniture and other items.  She has no suspects.

10:19 p.m. – To the New Carlisle Fire House for a report of a domestic dispute.  A woman reported that she met her daughter’s father around 8:45 p.m. for visitation.  She said that once he arrived they began to argue because she had filed for child support.  She said that the father pulled her from his vehicle as she was telling the child goodbye and pushed her down.  She said that as he left, he said that she was never getting the child back.  The father was contacted and advised that he had to return the child.  Arrangements were made to meet him, but he did not show up.  Family members returned the child.  A warrant was issued for the father for domestic violence and assault.

Saturday, January 17

1:11 a.m. – Traffic stop on Rt. 235 at Hocker Dr.  The driver was found to have a syringe in his pocket.  Charges are pending lab results on the syringe.

1:49 a.m. – To Mark Dr. for a report of an assault.  A woman reported that she was arguing with her now-ex-boyfriend over his tools in the bedroom.  She said she told him to move them and he got angry.  She said he threatened her with a pipe wrench, then struck her on her knee with a hammer. She said that the two do not live together, but that he stores his tools and has some clothes there. The boyfriend said he was asleep when he heard the girlfriend messing with his tool bag.  He said she took his tools to her car.  He said he ran out to get the tools but she had dumped them inside the home.  He said she threw something at him, striking him in his hand. He had visible injuries to his hand. He also said that the two had lived together for about seven years.  Since the boyfriend had visible injuries and the girlfriend didn’t, she was identified as the primary aggressor and that she would receive a summons to appear in court.  A member of Pike Twp. EMS said that as they were treating her, she was taking pictures of them and putting them on Facebook. He said that she was yelling at them and calling them abusive names.  The girlfriend was advised that if she continued that behavior, she would be charged with disorderly conduct.  She continued yelling at EMS personnel, so she was charged with disorderly conduct and misconduct at an emergency.  She was transported to Springfield Hospital for treatment.

8:02 a.m. – To Wendell Ave.  A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend came to her home to talk about fixing their relationship. She said an argument began, so she told him to leave.  She said that he walked out the front door and she locked it behind him. She said he then began banging on doors and windows, then took a brick and threw it through the back glass door.  A warrant was requested on the boyfriend for criminal damaging.

9:58 a.m. – To N. Scott St. for a report of a dog bite.  A woman reported that she saw a pit bull that was on a chain jump a fence.  She said that kids were yelling and throwing things at the dog to get it to go back into its yard.  She said she went over to get the kids to stop throwing things at the dog.  The dog’s owner came out and took the dog off of the chain to put it back in the yard.  When the chain was taken off, the dog went to the woman and bit her in the leg.  She was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.  The dog’s owner could not produce any vaccination records or rabies dog tags.  Neighbors stated that the dogs have been a constant problem and that the owner cannot care for them correctly.  A report was forwarded to the Humane Society for follow-up.

1:32 p.m. – To Kennedy Dr. for a report of a theft.  A man reported that he had bought the mobile home with all of the contents inside.  He said that last night, while he was gone and his brother was in the residence, a man came to the door using a key and requested the items that were in the house, claiming that the man had no right to them.  He said his mother told the subject to leave and come back when the RP was there.  He said that his brother soon left.  When the RP returned, he found the washer and dryer missing.  

5:38 p.m. – To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a theft.  A man reported that someone took his medication.  He suspects a contractor who was installing drywall in the bathroom.

11:01 p.m. – To Lake Rd. for a report of a crash.  The deputy arrived to find a vehicle had struck several mailboxes.  The vehicle was there but no occupants.  A purse was found in the vehicle and the owner was contacted.  She said she was driving, but her boyfriend grabbed the steering wheel causing her to crash.

11:56 p.m. – Traffic stop on Cliffside at Bowser.  The driver said that she was under an OVI suspension.  The vehicle was towed and the plates submitted to property.
