Tecumseh finished second overall, and Northwestern was third at the Clark County Clash wrestling invitational on Saturday.

At 106, Tecumseh’s Joe Campbell finished third overall, while William Bailey of Northwestern finished sixth.

Northwestern’s Jacob Lees won the 120 pound weight division, with Gavin Sineff from Tecumseh placing fifth. At 136, Hunter Donnan from Tecumseh was second overall, while Northwestern’s Jacob Bills placed third.

Blake Biteman, Tecumseh’s 132 pound wrestler captured the title in that weight class, with Northwestern’s Ben Boggs finishing second and the Arrows’ Simon Herbert sixth, At 138, Tommy Rowe from Tecumseh finished fourth, Austin Monroe from Northwestern earned sixth.

Earning another title was Tecumseh’s Gage Whitt at 145, as he had no trouble in either the semi-finals or finals. Trae Clark from Tecumseh finished fourth. The Arrows’ Jason Brewer finished sixth also in that weight class. Zach Leist from Northwestern defeated Brewer to place fifth.

Caleb Young from Tecumseh was second at 152, with Northwestern’s Speakman Blake was third. At 160, James Ridge from Tecumseh placed second.

Northwestern took home a championship at 172, as Nathan Bills earned a title, while Tecumseh’s Eric Madsen finished second, and Greenon’s Levi Morrison fourth.

Andrew Reisinger from Northwestern was fourth overall at 180, while Joshua Johnson from Greenon was fifth and Steven Bocock from Tecumseh was seventh.

Samuel Adkins from Greenon also placed sixth at 220.

At 285, Greg Snyder from Northwestern placed fourth, Kyle Holt (Tecumseh) fifth and Javen Moore (Greenon) sixth.

*Tecumseh participated in the GMVWA Holiday Invitational last week at the Wright State University Nutter Center, and while they didn’t have anyone place at the meet, they did have a trio of wrestlers win matches.

Gage Whitt went 3-2 on the day at 145, with wins against Garrett Young of Delaware Hayes 4-3 in his opening match, before losing in the third round. He bounced back with consolation wins against Malacki Strickland of Dublin Jerome by default and Frankie Quintero of Troy 17-2 before losing in the sixth consolation.

Also going 3-2 was Blake Biteman at 126, who lost his opening match before running off three straight wins. He defeated Nathan Gibbs of Clinton Massie via pin in 2:57, before pinning his second consolation opponent Daniel Price of Mohawk in 1:27. Biteman then came back with an 8-4 victory over Matt Lewis of Glen Este before falling in the fifth consolation round.

Winning two matches was Justin Perry at 138. He won his first two matches, defeating Josh Jackoby of Springboro in 1:45, and Adam Brambli of Greeneview 6-2, but fell short in his next two matches.

Caleb Young (152), James Ridge (160) and Kyle Holt (285) all lost their first two matches in the meet.
