After watching as Ben Logan took the early lead, the Tecumseh boys’ soccer team stormed back to score the games’ next four goals, and cruised to an easy 5-2 win over the Raiders last week in a crossover league match.

The Arrows nearly got on the board in the opening two minutes when Alex Arevalos received a pass on a breakaway, but as he moved inside the 30, he slipped and did not get a shot off for the Arrows.

Another good shot from Humberto Arevalo just missed at the 35:50 mark of the opening half, as it sailed wide left to keep the game scoreless.

Ben Logan picked up their first shot on goal from Rylan Studebaker on an indirect kick at the 25:15 mark of the half but the shot ricocheted off the top bar.

Their next shot did not miss, as George Kern headed a pass past the Arrows keeper at the 23:28 mark of the opening half, giving the visitors from Ben Logan a 1-0 lead.

The Arrows answered with 13 minutes left in the half. Arevalo was in the box around the net, and as the ball approached, he headed the ball past the goalie into the open net, tying the game at 1-1.

As the game approached halftime, Tecumseh took the lead when Elijah Hall put the ball past the keeper to send the Arrows in front 2-1 at the break.

Ten minutes into the second half, the Arrows scored again when Arevalo fired a laser from 30 yards out, past the keeper to make it 3-1.

Mitchell Foland scored the fourth goal of the game for the Arrows on a long shot with 29:08 left in the game, sending the Arrows in front 4-1.

Ben Logan tried to make it a game by scoring with 16 minutes left in the game to cut their deficit to two goals, but two minutes later, the Arrows secured the game when Patrick Lince found the net with a header to give the Arrows a 5-2 lead.

*Also last week, the Tecumseh girls’ defeated Ben Logan 9-1 to secure their fourth win of the young season.

On Thursday, the Arrows edged Middletown Madison 1-0 in a non-league contest and now stands 5-0 on the season.
