The Bethel boys’ basketball team had one bad quarter, and it cost them against a very talented Miami East squad.

After only trailing by one at the half, the Bees were outscored 13-3 in the third period, which led to a 63-47 loss to the Vikings, giving Bethel their second league loss of the season.

Caleb South led the way for Bethel with 29 points, the only player in double figures for the Bees. Tyler Terry added seven for Bethel.

Also last week, the Bees defeated National Trail 66-39 after jumping out to an early lead and never looking back.

South again led the Bees with 31, Evan Hawthorn added 12 and Terry eight in the victory.
