Tecumseh senior Danielle Franklin, who is headed to Alderson-Broaddus to continue her basketball career in college, broke a milestone on Saturday night as she scored her 1,000th career point with the Arrows in their 84-32 rout of Shawnee.
Franklin, who led all scorers with 21 points, scored on a mid-range jumper from the right side to give her the achievement.
Tecumseh had four players in double figures in the win. In addition to Franklin, it was senior Lindsey Nartker and freshman Corinne Thomas each scoring 17, Allison Berner added 11 in the win, while Presley Griffitts scored nine and Caroline Smith added seven.
Tecumseh sprinted out to a 19-9 lead after the opening period, and pushed their lead to 42-13 at the half, as they never looked back.
Tecumseh hosts Indian Lake tonight, then perennial league power Kenton Ridge comes in on Saturday for the first of their two meetings with the Arrows this season, tip off is 7:30.
