The New Carlisle Rotary Club completed its annual change of leadership this for a new President and leadership team.

As outgoing President, Bob Holder of RD Holder, Inc., thanked the many members who gave their time and effort serving with Rotary. Bob awarded two members with a Distinguished Service Award, titled Service Above Self, and also recognized one member as the 2016 Rotarian of the Year.

Jamie Fletcher, of New Carlisle Federal Savings Bank: Service Above Self Award, for chairing the annual Rotary Arbor Day event, and for leading the Club into a new accounting system.

Rob Pollock of J&R Insurance: Service Above Self Award, for being the Club in house financial auditor, for stepping in as interim Treasurer, and insuring financial integrity for the New Carlisle Rotary Club.

Tim Juday, 571 Grill & Draft House: 2016 Rotarian of the Year. Holder said that Tim Juday consistently provides wonderful weekly meals for the Club, serves an amazing annual Christmas Feast, and is fully is supported by his outstanding wife Brandi..

After Holder honored members, he prasied the leadership of incoming President Rob Pollack.

“I want everyone to know that Rob has worked his way up the Treasurer’s and Club Secretary’s officer position. He understands how the Club functions,” said Holder.

Holder went on to speak about Pollack’s character.

“I have known Rob since he was in junior high school. Not only is he a good athlete, he’s a good man. I know his parents and how he was raised. Even when he was playing ball on the court he was good but didn’t show arrogance.”

In closing, Holder stated Rob will be a great President for our Club.

After receiving the traditional Rotary Gavel, new President Rob Pollack thanked Bob Holder and presented him with a pin and President’s Plaque, and praised Holder’s leadership during the past year and as a leader in the community.

As the new Rotary President, Pollack swore in Jamie Fletcher as Treasurer and Jill Reece as Secretary.

This process has been carried out yearly since the Club’s founding in 1972. Local business leaders volunteer to join the leadership team and represent the Club in the local community, regionally and internationally
