Youth Basketball Camp
Youth Basketball Camp, open to ages 7-13, will be held July 5-8 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Springfield High School. This camp will provide comprehensive instruction into all phases of the game of basketball in a fun format. Campers will learn basic fundamentals to improve their game of basketball. The registration fee is $40 and the registration deadline is June 29. 2016. Health Nuts Mini Camps
Health Nuts Mini Camps will be held on July 8 and July 15 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the NTPRD Buck Creek Nature Park. Health Nuts is open to youth ages 7-12 and combines health and environmental education through fun outdoor activities and healthy eating topics. Participants will learn to appreciate nature, be more physically active and eat healthier with hands on activities and games. July 15 will feature “Mud Mania”. Health Nuts is a collaboration between National Trail Parks and Recreation District and the Ohio State University Extension, Clark County Family & Consumer Sciences. This program is free of charge and pre-registration is required for each mini-camp. Health Nuts is funded by a grant from the Community Health Foundation. Youth Soccer Camp
Soccer Camp is open to youth ages 8-15 and held on July 11-15 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Eagle City Soccer Complex. Dribbling, passing and scoring goals will be covered in this fun, fast paced camp. The camp is designed to provide challenges for the strong player as well as the beginner. Campers must wear shin guards and bring a water bottle. The registration fee is $40 and the deadline to register is July 11, 2016. For more information call 328-PARK.
Start / Restart Tennis
A Start / Restart Tennis program will have a session on July 11, 18, 25 & August 1 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Old Reid Tennis Center. Whether you have never held a racquet or have not played in years, this is the perfect tennis program for you. This program teaches technique and builds skills. The registration fee is $35. Trail Hikers
Trail Hikers is held Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Rebert Pike Nature Park. These guided, self-paced hikes will allow you to explore and enjoy our local natural environment. Hiking boots are recommended. The program is free. For more information call 328-PARK.
Splash Zone Waterpark
Splash Zone Waterpark is open daily through August 14 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, weather permitting. Season passes are still available for purchase at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Monday, July 4 is Military Appreciation Day. Admission is 1/2 price with a Military ID Active & Retired.
