Christy Sturtz graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1997 and went on to earn an elementary education degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. She is a certified teacher and mother of three lovely girls. Christy began writing Just Try It, Georgie! as a project with her oldest daughter when she was in Kindergarten. As the story developed, Christy asked her brother, Chad, to illustrate the book.

Chad Seymour graduated from Tecumseh High School in 2000 and went on to earn a fine arts degree from Wright State University. He has created several works of art including paintings, photographs, shirts and books. He lives in New Carlisle, Ohio with his wife and children.

Christy and Chad will be reading at the New Carlisle Library on Tuesday, July 6th during story time at 11:00 a.m. The siblings will also be at the New Carlisle Farmer’s Market on Saturday, July 30th for a reading of the book, book purchases, and book signing.
