Kindergarten at Tecumseh Local is an ALL-day EVERY-day program.

Kindergarten Registration 2016/2017

Registration will be held at all elementary buildings, including Medway.

April 4 - 8 • 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. @ Medway, DN, PL and NC

April 11 - 15 • 9:00 A. M. – 2:00 P.M. @ Medway, DN, PL and NC

Thursday, April 14 from 3:30 to 6:00 P.M. @ Park Layne ONLY

Students registering for the 16/17 school year must be age 5 on or before September 30, 2016.

    When registering, please bring your child’s:

Official Birth Certificate (not hospital record)

Immunization Record

Custody Papers, if applicable

Proof of Residency; or approved Open Enrollment application if residing outside of the district attendance area

Parent/Guardian identification

(If you are missing required documents, please still register your child and then bring missing documents with you to assessment in May.)

Kindergarten Assessments will be held Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20.

Assessment Appointments are available from 9:00 A.M. until 2:30 P.M.

Appointments will be scheduled when you register.

At Kindergarten Assessment children will be assessed in academic areas (i.e. counting, letter identification, rhyming, letter sounds, colors, etc.) and will have vision, hearing and speech screenings. Assessments are done so that school staff has adequate information to place students in balanced classes and to give parents information about a child’s current level of performance. Any child who meets the age requirement can attend kindergarten regardless of their performance at assessment. Please allow about an hour for your child’s assessment.
