The Northwestern Jr/Sr High School Rotary Student of the Month for October is Landon Rohrer. Landon is an exceptional student and a respected school leader. He excels in the classroom and on the field as a captain of the football team. Landon also participates in symphonic band, show choir, powerlifting, and National Honor Society. Landon is very involved in community service and is particularly proud of his participation in the school’s Young Life program. Landon plans to pursue a degree in biochemistry and hopes to make significant contributions to the field of diabetes research.

The Northwestern Jr/Sr High School Citizen of the Month for October is Ellis Ulery. Ellis is an excellent school leader. Ellis enacts positive change in the school environment through his elected position as student body president. Ellis’ positive attitude makes him a role model for his peers. Ellis participates on the basketball, football, and tennis teams at Northwestern. He is also very involved in Young Life. Ellis has interests in journalism, aviation, and theater and he plans to pursue a career that would combine these interests.
