Tecumseh High School Art Teacher Stephanie Stevens and senior Elizabeth Gomez are participating in the Wright State University Teacher/Student Exhibition from March 15-27th in the Stein Galleries. This exhibit, organized by the Department of Art & Art History, features the works of local high school teachers and their students.
Physical Education students at Tecumseh Middle School are participating in a different kind of race. In collaboration with the Social Studies department, students are racing to correctly complete a map of the United States.

Students in Mrs. Hampshire’s fourth grade class at New Carlisle Elementary rotate opportunities to sit on the Kore Design balance balls. The seats, purchased with a grant from the Tecumseh PTO, improve the core strength, balance, and attention of students.
Mrs. Melinda Lombard, high school and middle school choral director, conducts auditions with New Carlisle Elementary fifth graders for next year’s middle school choirs.

Advanced Choir
On Friday, March 4, 2016, the Tecumseh High School Mixed Chorus performed at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District level adjudication receiving an overall rating of Superior and qualifying to perform at the State level Adjudication in April.

Women’s Choir
The Tecumseh High School Women’s Chorus performed at the OMEA district level adjudication on Friday, March 4, 2016. The Women’s Chorus received an overall rating of Excellent.
Symphonic & Wind Ensemble
The Tecumseh High School Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band recently joined forces and participated in the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District XII Large Group event hosted by Kettering City Schools. After performing for a panel of professional music educators, the band was rewarded with a Superior rating overall. Included in that final rating, the band also received a Superior in the separate category of sight- reading in which students are adjudicated while performing a work they have not seen prior to evaluation. The band’s performance at the District level qualifies them for participation in the State event on April 29 at Troy High School.
