At the January 4, 2017 meeting of the Clark County Commissioners, Commissioner Lowell McGlothin and Commissioner Melanie Wilt began their new jobs. Although the agenda was light, they were enthusiastic about the new opportunities.

First, the commissioners approved an increase in the contract with Adolescent Oasis for the Department of Job and Family Services for $250,000. The amendment extends the existing contract through December 31, 2017 and increases the total contract value.

Second, the commissioners approved the use of a Force Account for Clark County Engineer John Burr. The force account allows Burr to make emergency repairs to bridges, culverts and roads during 2017 without approval by the Clark County Commissioners.

The next meeting of the Clark County Commissioners is scheduled for January 11, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Conference Room. At that time, the commissioners will conduct their annual organizational meeting and begin to allocate monies to the non-mandated budget items and departmental requests.
