NW Girls Lose To KR

Northwestern lost to Kenton Ridge last week in girls’ basketball action 75-36, as a big second period was the deciding factor for the Warriors.

Kenton Ridge outscored Northwestern 28-4 in the second quarter to open up a 49-14 lead at the half, and never looked back.

Abby Zerkle was the long Warriors player who could muster any offense, as she scored 24 points.

The Warriors travel to Troy tonight for their only game this week before the New Year arrives.


Tecumseh Bowling

The Arrows boys’ bowling team defeated Shawnee 2933-2738 last week. Al Woosley led the Arrows with 214-231, Dylan Terrell had 248-181, Jay Woosley 207-214, Allen Ward 215-206 and Matt Brown 199-199. The Tecumseh girls’ also was victorious over Shawnee 2171-1978.

Keirsten Means and Anna Ryman both bowled 321 series to lead the Arrows, while Alaina Collins had 321, Emma Wurts 315 and Adrienne Lutz 284.

Tecumseh has been participating in the GMVWA Holiday meet at Wright State this week.
