Sunday 2/7

3:42 a.m. To Hocker Ave. for a report of a neighbor dispute. A woman reported ongoing issues with the neighbor in the apartment below hers. She said he is constantly yelling at her to be quiet. Both parties were advised to leave each other alone and do the best they could to get along.

5:38 p.m. To Hillcrest Dr. for a report of a domestic issue. A man, who was obviously distraught and hyperactive, reported that his nephew made a trade for a boat, a fishing pole, a compound bow and $400 for a dirt bike. He said that he offered $400 to get the bike back, but the other party refused, became irate and began a fist fight with him. The other party in the trade stated that his son did trade with the RP’s nephew, but that the boat was never in the RP’s name. He said that he had the title to the boat. He denied any assault and said that the RP came onto his property and pushed him. He said the RP threatened him and his wife. The RP was advised that this is a civil issue. He became irate and left yelling, “I see how it has to be. I’ll deal with this my way.”

10:06 p.m. To N. Pike St. for a report of a possible burglary. A man reported that his roommates moved out and left the door open. He said that he had a falling out with his roommates and asked them to leave. He said that he believes one of them committed burglary. The deputy explained established residence and its rules to the RP and said that there would be no criminal charges.

Monday 2/8

1:11 a.m. To the 9300 block of W. National Rd. for a report of a deer strike. The vehicle was damaged and the deer was killed.

8:13 a.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of criminal damaging. A man reported that someone had damaged the pop machine in front of the business. Surveillance video showed a man using a crowbar to try to break into the machine. It was clearly marked as out of order and no money was in it. While attempting to breach the machine, the suspect fell into a window and broke it.

8:14 a.m. To Weinland St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he left his car running to allow it to warm up. When he was ready to leave, the car was gone. Another deputy reported seeing the stolen vehicle on surveillance video heading south on Rt. 235.

4:00 p.m. To Carman Ave. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone made purchases on her credit card without her permission. The transactions totaled about $110. She said that she has contacted her bank and cancelled her card. She suspects teenagers working at a Dayton business that she visited the other day. She said that they had her card in their possession for about 2 minutes.

4:15 p.m. To the New Carlisle Fire station for a report of a custody issue. A woman reported that she went to pick up her son from school and found that he was not in school that day. She said she tried to contact the father but was unsuccessful. She said that she has custody and that he has weekend visitation. The father was contacted and stated that he has custody of the boy and that the mother would have known that if she had shown up for the hearing. He said that he and the boy were at his home in Fairborn. Fairborn Police were contacted to verify the father’s story. They replied later stating that the father has custody and has the boy legally.

5:03 p.m. To Shepard St. for a report of identity fraud. A man reported that he received a credit card in the mail that he did not request. He said he called the issuer and was informed that the second card was mailed to an address in Indiana. He said he had the card cancelled. The issuer’s fraud department requested a police report.

9:52 p.m. To Weinland St. for a report of an accident. A driver backing out of a parking space struck a parked vehicle and left the scene. The owner of the parked vehicle chased the driver down and called the Sheriff’s office.

Tuesday 2/9

12:08 a.m. To N. Church St. for a report of an unresponsive male. Deputies arrived to find a man lying unconscious on the floor and medics were working on him. Medics administered two doses of Narcan and the man began to wake up. While reaching into his pocket for his ID, a baggie containing what appeared to be capsules of heroin. The man’s girlfriend gave permission to search the apartment and more pills were found. Deputies also found cut-up straws, a mirror with white residue on it and several baggies with white residue in them. The man was transported to Huber Heights Medical Center and the evidence was submitted for testing.

10:24 a.m. To Rawson Dr. for a domestic dispute. A man reported that he was arguing with his adult daughter about staying at his home. He said she got mad and took her son and dog and started walking down the street. The daughter said that her parents are always trying to tell her how to raise her son. The daughter said that she would get cleaned up and leave.

1:30 p.m. To Orth Dr. for a report of a burglary. A woman returned home to find her back window open and rear door unsecured. Entering the apartment, she found that a 50” flat screen TV and several tools were missing.

Wednesday 2/10

8:15 p.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of criminal damaging. A man reported that he confronted his daughter’s boyfriend about his laziness. He said the boyfriend does not contribute financially to the household, but just lays around the house eating and sleeping. He said that the boyfriend got upset and left the residence. As he was leaving, he drove through the yard knocking down four yard markers. The daughter said that their relationship is over and requested information on obtaining a protection order.

Thursday 2/11

9:55 a.m. To Dogwood Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone broke out a window in her vehicle and took her credit card. She said that her bank reported that the card had been used several times in different locations. She said that she has cancelled the card.

5:50 p.m. To Styer Dr. A woman stated that their vehicle was reported stolen on February 4 and was recovered yesterday in Dayton. She said that Dayton PD notified her that she could pick up her vehicle. She said that when they arrived home, they noticed several items that did not belong to them, like numerous cell phones and a laptop computer. Dayton Police did not process the vehicle. Clark County detectives arrived and took possession of the items.

7:36 p.m. To Daleridge Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived to see a man walking out of the home. He said that the male resident had been stabbed. The victim said that he allowed a friend and his girlfriend to stay for a few nights because they had nowhere else to stay. He said he found that the friend was selling drugs out of his home and he told the friend that he had to leave. He said that they got into an argument and the friend stabbed him and threatened him with a gun. The friend returned to the home and was asked for identification. He turned around and tried to re-enter the residence. He was forced to the ground and handcuffed. He was then arrested for one count of assault and one count of aggravated menacing and taken to the Clark County Jail.

8:45 p.m. To Greenacres Dr. for a report of an assault. Two brothers were reportedly involved in a fist fight, but one had left. A man who was bleeding from his face said he was fighting with his brother. A friend stated that the man had just returned home from a funeral and started fighting with his brother. He said he intervened to break up the fight. The mother of the brothers said that after the funeral, her son went out back and was drinking. She said that on the way home, he made her stop for more alcohol, and chugged a 24-ounce beer. She said that when they returned home, her son went into the house and when she got in the home, both brothers were fighting. She said the friend broke up the fight. She said she wanted him out of her home permanently. The son packed up some things and left for the evening.

9:17 p.m. To Woodbury Rd. for a report of an unwanted guest. A man stated that a male friend was there and was disrespecting him and he asked the friend to leave. The friend said that he would leave as soon as he found his other shoe. He kept going on and did not seem to comprehend what deputies were saying to him. He did not know what year or what day it was. Bethel Medics were called, and the man told them that he had taken Vicodin. He was transported to Huber Emergency Room for evaluation.

Friday 2/12

7:58 a.m. To Choctaw Dr. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that someone forced entry to his garage through the rear door. A half gallon of ice cream was taken from his freezer. Footprints in the snow led to a home on Tomahawk Dr. The residents there said their two young boys were playing outside yesterday. Deputies checked the boys’ shoes, and they did not match the footprints leading to the Choctaw address. The boys denied stealing the ice cream.

10:06 a.m. To Prentice Dr. for a welfare check. The anonymous caller reported hearing a woman scream and a child start crying. Upon arrival, the deputy heard a man and woman arguing. The woman said that they were disagreeing over money and that no physical harm or threats were involved. The man advised that he would be leaving for the day to let things cool down.

2:56 p.m. To Aspen Rd. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. A man reported that a black GMC Yukon was parked in his driveway. Investigation showed that the vehicle was stolen from the 11000 block of Lower Valley Pike. The deputy arrived to find a garage door open. There were also numerous footprints in the snow in the driveway. The resident advised that a weed eater, chain saw, floor jack and jump pack were missing from the garage. Deputies investigating the Yukon found some of the items reported stolen. The resident reported that his former girlfriend stated that the Yukon was hers and that she was coming to get it. The girlfriend was involved in a traffic stop on Carlotta Circle and was being detained along with other subjects and more property stolen from the Lower Valley address. One of the subjects stated that a male was driving the car but fled. Deputies followed footprints in the snow to Gerlaugh Rd. but did not find the male suspect. The women were detained and the stolen property was collected, all to be forwarded to detectives.

6:12 p.m. To Lake Rd. for a report of a stolen vehicle. A man reported that someone took his vehicle. He gave the first name of a suspect.

6:27 p.m. To Church and Jefferson streets for a report of an accident. A driver northbound on Church St. failed to stop for a red light and collided with a vehicle westbound on Jefferson St. The Church St. driver was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device.

7:05 p.m. To Hedwick St. for a welfare check requested because the home has no water. A woman stated that she was to watch kids this weekend but took them to her mother’s home because her water had been shut off. She said that this is not the first time the man has called deputies on her. Deputies found that she is meeting the kids’ basic needs and takes them to her mother’s home for bathing. She plans on having her water operational soon.

8:57 p.m. To Enon Rd. at Lower Valley Pike for a report of a vehicle that had slid off the road. Deputies arrived to find a gray Toyota that had struck a utility pole. There was no one in the vehicle. Once the door was open, deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana. They found a small bag of marijuana, a smoking pipe and rolling papers in the center console. The driver of the Toyota soon arrived and said that he had crashed the vehicle and had returned to get it towed. He was cited for the crash and that the marijuana and paraphernalia would be destroyed.

Saturday 2/13

9:48 a.m. To Styer Dr. for a report of a found item. A man reported finding an orange boys bicycle on the property. It had been there for about two weeks. It was not reported as stolen. It was taken into property.

11:00 a.m. To Forest Rd. for a report of a burglary. Deputies arrived to find a door open and damage to the door and trim. A woman reported that she had been arguing with the father of her child all morning and she decided to leave because he was threatening her and she didn’t feel safe. She said she left to wait for a friend to come over and be with her. When she returned, she found the door had been kicked in and a television was missing. The television was later found elsewhere in Crystal Lakes.

Bethel Township

Wednesday 2/17

10:00 a.m. Littering reported in the area of S. Dayton Brandt and New Carlisle Road. The RP advised a large amount of carpeting and flooring were discarded on the side if the roadway. Receipts were found in the debris which resulted in identifying a suspect. This case is pending.

11:26 a.m. Theft not in progress in the 8100 block of Palmer Road. A Rumpke trash can was missing and presumed stolen. A report was needed for Rumpke to provide a replacement.

11:27 a.m. Theft reported at Bethel High School, 7490 S. State Route 201. Deputy spoke with a male in reference to a theft of money which occurred on Tuesday 2/9. He stated he had been a referee at the basketball game and afterwards he discovered money had been stolen from his wallet. He also stated another referee had money missing. A room is provided to the referees to change and store their personal items. Only the referees were to have access to the room. He had reported the theft to the referee assigner and it was determined another referee who had worked the junior varsity game had taken the money. The agency had requested a report documenting the theft.

Thursday 2/18

00:18 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. State Route 571 and S. State Route 201. Vehicle was stopped for a speeding violation. Contact was made with the driver Jacob I Conrad who admitted he didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Running Conrad through LEADS it was found he had several active suspensions and failure to reinstates. Asked to exit his vehicle, Conrad was patted down and a bottle with five white pills were found in a coat pocket. Also found was another pill bottle with several blue pills matching prescription label and several white oblong pills not on the label. The pills were identified and Conrad was informed he was going to jail for the possession of controlled substances (two counts F-5 and M-1), failure to reinstate and speed.
