Monday, December 7

5:55 p.m. To Styer Dr. A man reported that he received a threatening text message from another male subject. He showed the message to the deputy, but most of the messages were sent from the RP to the male subject. The text showed that the subject was coming to the RP’s residence to put a hit on him. He said that the subject accused him of working with the police in Montgomery county as a confidential informant, thus the reason for the hit.

5:58 p.m. To Orth Dr. for a report of a non-injury crash. A woman reported that a neighbor backed his vehicle into hers on December 5. She said her vehicle was parked in a private lot behind their building. She said the neighbor informed her of the crash and agreed to pay for repairs, since he does not have insurance. She said that he is now advising that he cannot pay her for the damages. She was advised that since the accident occurred on private property, this would be a civil issue. She was not happy and requested a report.

9:48 p.m. To Gerlaugh Rd. A woman reported that she had allowed a male friend to live at her residence from November 23 to December 2. She said that they had an oral agreement for the friend to pay $250 per month for rent, and that she broke the payments down to $62.50 per week. She said that she asked him to leave on December 2 because he had not paid this week’s rent. She said that she is keeping his personal belongings until he pays the week’s rent. She was advised that this is a civil issue.

Tuesday, December 8

7:25 a.m. To Rt. 41 near Rt. 235 for a report of a deer strike. A woman reported that a deer struck the side of her vehicle causing damage to her vehicle. The deer then ran off.

12:46 a.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a peace officer call. A woman reported that her daughter lost her cell phone at a store in Huber Heights. She said that she used GPS from the phone and tracked it to a residence on Chalfant Dr. The deputy went to the home and the resident said he knew nothing of a cell phone. He said he would ask his wife and children in the morning.

4:28 p.m. To W. Carpenter Dr. for a report of an accident. An unknown vehicle struck a vehicle parked on the street and then left the scene. There was minor damage to the parked vehicle.

Wednesday, December 9

3:10 a.m. To Fenwick Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her adult son is yelling and screaming at her and tearing up the residence. She said that the argument has only been verbal. She requested that the incident be documented.

8:32 a.m. To Cooper Ave. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone took several items from her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway. She said that she believed that the vehicle was locked, but wasn’t sure.

10:38 a.m. To N. Main St. for a report of a theft. A woman asked for a case number regarding a trailer that was stolen. The deputy checked with dispatch and learned that no report was filed. She said that the trailer was last seen on November 27 and it was noticed missing on November 29. The trailer was entered as stolen.

3:15 p.m. To Fenwick Dr. for a report of menacing. A man reported that he was at a neighbor’s home when a man threatened to wrap him in duct tape, put his body in a truck and no one would find him. A female witness confirmed his story. Deputies went to the neighbor’s home but no one answered the door. Warrants were issued against the neighbor.

Thursday, December 10

4:15 p.m. To S. Park Dr. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that when he returned home, he found a side door had been pried open. He said the suspects took his safe and two firearms from his bedroom. Several tools were left behind and were collected as evidence. He said the safe contained $50,000 and a .38 special. A shotgun was also taken. Several other firearms were not taken.

Friday, Dec 11

7:50 p.m. | Traffic stop in the Scarff Road and US Route 40 area. Vehicle passed deputy on Scarff Road and didn’t have a functioning license plate light. A traffic stop was initiated and contact made with driver Cindy Barker. Barker was found to have a suspended driver’s license and issued a citation for DUS. The passenger also did not possess a license so a licensed friend was called to pick them up.

10:52 p.m. | Disturbance reported at the A and R Reck MHP, 4220 US Route 40. RP claimed to have been assaulted by a male in a management position of the MHP. PR stated she didn’t want to press charges and it was determined not to be a domestic issue due to their relationship status.

Saturday, Dec 12

2:05 a.m. | Drug offense in the 8000 block of Wildcat Road. Bethel EMS requested a deputy respond to residence on a reported heroin overdose. After investigation Randall Palmer will be charged with possession of Heroin.

Sunday, Dec 13

4:36 p.m. | Accident with injury in the area of Staley Road and South State Route 201. Rollover accident and driver was suspected of operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. An OVI blood kit was submitted to the crime lab for testing.

7:21 p.m. | Suspicious person in the 8100 block of Flick Road. Multiple calls from citizens in Bethel Township had reported a white sedan driving around the area. Unable to find the vehicle, the deputy spoke with another who advised he had made contact with the driver. The driver stated he was a private investigator attempting to locate and female and child involved in a custody dispute out of California. The driver was able to provide credentials supporting his identity.

Monday, Dec 14

1:59 p.m. | Trespassing complaint in the 5900 block of Scarff Road. RP observed three or four males in a maroon truck enter the property. The suspects broke the lock on the front gate and drove back to the work barn. RP reported he observed the truck was loaded with metal. RP was able to follow the vehicle into New Carlisle but then lost sight. RP was able to provide a license plate number. Deputy met with the RP who said the barn is a mess and he was unsure if entry was actually gained. There was no sign of forced entry or evidence to support the men had entered into the barn. Clark County was given the information on the vehicle and was requested to identify the individuals inside.

Tuesday, Dec 15

5:46 p.m. | Fraud reported in the 7200 block of New Carlisle Road. RP advised fraudulent purchases were made in Columbus, Ohio and Texas. His bank required him to file a police report. At this time there are no leads or suspects.

Thursday, Dec 17

4:54 p.m. | Traffic stop in the area of South State Route 201 and Singer Road. Vehicle was stopped for expired registration. Driver was identified as Charles Doak who informed the deputy he didn’t have a valid license and admitted to a warrant out of Huber Heights. This information was confirmed and Doak was placed into custody. He was cited for failure to reinstate, transported to Huber Heights where the HH police took custody of him. A licensed driver picked up the vehicle.
