12:00 p.m. to Lake Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she went to her vehicle this morning and found the hood popped open. She said that someone took several t-shirts that had belonged to her late grandfather and the car battery. There are no suspects.

7:07 p.m. To Beach Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her husband had a pile of scrap metal in their back yard and that someone stole it. She said that she believed that a water heater and a Christmas projector were also missing. She was advised to have her husband call back when he returned home if he had more information.

Monday, December 22

8:59 a.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of theft. A man reported that an employee has removed items from different job sites throughout the United States. He said that he is in the process of getting all of his paperwork together to prove the multiple thefts. He said that he believed that the employee took over $40,000 worht of left over material from one site.

11:05 a.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone removed two toolboxes from the bed of his truck that was parked in his driveway. He said that the boxes contained miscellaneous hand tools and that he doesn’t have serial numbers for them.

Tuesday, December 23

2:00 a.m. To Sycamore St. for a welfare check on an 11-year-old girl. The girl’s mother said that the girl has been having problems with bullying at school and that she is in counseling for it. She said they went to check on her at 10:30 p.m. and she was not in her room. The girl was located walking along Interstate 70. A passerby took her to the Huber Heights Police Dept. and her mother picked her up there. The girl said she left home because she believed she dissapointed her dad. She was advised of the seriousness of the situation and the possible consequences of her actions.

9:13 a.m. To Rawson Dr. for a report of two small children running down the street. The boys were placed in the deputy’s cruiser to stay warm and New Carlisle Medics were called to make sure they were OK. While Medics were checking the boys, a woman showed up and asked if the deputy had seen two small boys. She said that she was asleep and the boys slipped out the side door of their home. She said that when she realized that tey were gone, she went looking for them. She was charged with two counts of child endangering and ordered into court.

12:21 p.m. To Prentice Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her daughter had grabbed her by the face causing her to fear that her daughter was going to hurt her. The daughter admitted to grabbing her mother’s face. She was charged with assault and domestic violence and ordered into court.

12:48 p.m. To Milton-Carlisle Rd. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that her boyfriend saw a number on her cell phone and wanted to know whose number it was. She said that she did not know, and that he became upset, grabbed the phone and threw it against a wall breaking it, and grabbed her by the neck and shoved her against a wall. Her clothing was torn and she had red marks on her neck. The boyfriend admitted to breaking the phone, but said he only grabbed her by her hoodie. He said that he was upset because he thought it was another man’s phone number. He was charged with assault and ordered into court.

11:45 p.m. To Gerlaugh Rd. A man reported that he had been talking to a woman on a dating site for several months and that she invited him to her home tonight. He said his mother dropped him off at Ace Hardware and the woman picked him up and took him to her home. He said that her male roommate began asking him questions that made him feel uncomfortable and in fear of his life. The man was very intoxicated and could not remember where the house was. The woman was located and said that she does not want the man to contact her any more. He was transported to his home.

Wednesday, December 24

10:02 a.m. To Farmers Dr. for a peace officer call. The park manager requested that a deputy stand by while he served an eviction notice. The subject of the eviction was not home, and the notice was left on the door. At 12:15 p.m. the deputy was dispatched to the park office. The manager said that the subject of the eviction came into his office yelling at him and threatening to cause bodily harm. He said that the man was being evicted because he has people living with him who are not registered with the office. He said that he did not fear for his life and was not worried about the argument. He asked that the incident be documented.

10:34 a.m. The Property Manager of Crystal Lakes reported that someone had driven a quad runner through the community property tearing up the grass and leaving deep tracks in the mud. The deputy and the manager followed the tracks to a residence, and the woman there said that she did not know of the damage, but offered to repair it. The woman’s grandson said that he did not know that he was not allowed to ride a quad runner in the area, but agreed to help repair the damage. The property manager said that he is pressing charges to show the other residence a lesson and that he means business by not tolerating damage to the property.

1:21 p.m. To Orth Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her daughter had been a problem most of the morning. She said that when she got up, she saw that her daughter’s boyfriend was in the house with his bare feet on the coffee table. She said she had told her daughter numerous times that there are to be no boys in the house, that he is unwanted and had to leave. She said her daughter became upset and verbally abusive toward her. She said she told her daughter go give up her phone and I-Pad for punishment, but the daughter would not comply. The daughter was advised that she needed to comply with her mother’s rules, and the daughter finally calmed down and apologized to her mother.

Thursday, December 25

10:30 a.m. To Lake Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she asked her daughter’s father to spend the night so that he could watch the daughter open Christmas gifts. She said that he was withdrawing from heroin, was very agitated and a verbal confrontation ensued. She said she asked him to leave and he complied.

12:17 p.m. To N. Church St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Two women reported that they had been arguing over various issues, and that their friendship had become strained lately. One of the women stated that she also had an argument with her daughter over the daughter’s cell phone. She said that the argument became physical when she was trying to get the phone away from her daughter. The deputy advised that one of them leave for the afternoon to allow the situation to defuse. One of them complied.

4:05 p.m. To Daleridge Dr. to assist a detective with a theft investigation. Deputies were informed that a female suspect had been located hiding under a tarp on Styer Dr. When deputies arrived on Styer Dr., the resident advised that he confronted the suspect and she fled toward Cliffside. She was located walking up to a residence on Cliffside and said that she was there to visit a friend. A woman at the Cliffside residence said that she did not know the suspect. The suspect gave a name that deputies believed was incorrect. The woman was advised that she was under arrest for obstructing official business. A search of her person yielded a syringe plunger and a clear capsule with resideu and a Saboxin strip. The woman was cuffed and finally revealed her real name. She advised that her boyfriend had hit her in the face and pulled her by her hair down the street. She had mud on her pants consistent with her story, but her hair was neatly pulled back and not messed up. She was taken to the Clark County Jail and booked in on falsification, obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia.

7:00 p.m. To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she and her husband had been arguing over their dog. Both parties stated that they were attempting to take the dog out of each other’s arms. Neither party wished to press charges and there were no signs of violence. Both parties agreed to separate for the evening.

9:39 p.m. Traffic stop on 235 at Musselman Rd. The deputy detected a faint odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. As the driver was looking through her purse for her license, the deputy saw a clear baggie. He asked about it and she shoved it into her purse and closed it. He asked her to retrieve it, she did, and it was found to be empty. The deputy asked about a blunt wrapper on the back seat, and she said that it was her boyfriend’s, and she could not believe that he left it out in the open. The deputy asked about her marijuana use, and she said she had not smoked any in a week. Her purse was checked and the deputy found a glass pipe with residue in it. She was charged with speed and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, December 26

12:59 a.m. To Bischoff Rd. A woman reported that a blue Chevy keeps driving by her home. She said she suspects that it is her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. Upon the deputy’s arrival, he saw the vehicle drive by, then cross the center line three times. He pursued the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver denied driving by the home, but appeared intoxicated. She refused field sobriety tests, and the deputy observed an open beer can on the passenger side. She was asked to step out of the vehicle and had trouble standing. She was charged with OVI, the vehicle wassearched and several other beer cans were found. The driver was taken to the Clark County Jail and booked in for OVI, driving under suspension, marked lanes and open container.

11:43 a.m. To New Calrisle Pike for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone took an air conditioning unit from the property. The model number was provided.

1:23 p.m. To N. Main St. for a report of a found item. A man reported that he found an empty purse in the parking lot of the business. The purse was submitted to the property room.

4:00 p.m. To the New Carlisle Substation for a report of a custody dispute. A man reported that his child’s mother is refusing to drop the child off for his scheduled weekend visitation. He said that this is an ongoing problem. The deputy went to the mother’s home and found that the boy was fine and happy to be at home with his mother. The father was advised.

Saturday, December 27

12:19 a.m. Traffic stop in the 300 block of E. Lake Ave. The driver was under suspension and had an active warrant from Fairborn. A search of the vehicle yielded a bong, a plastic container ofmarijuana and a metal grinder with trace amounts of marijuana on it. He was taken to the Clark County Jail for the warrant and was charged with possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, no operator license and driving under suspension.

12:16 p.m. To Weinland St. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that the air conditioning unit was taken from her home. Upon further investigation, she said that a lawn mower was also missing. She said her insurance company requested a police report.

3:22 p.m. To Galewood Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her husband had asked her help with something. She did not understand what he asked, so she asked him to repeat. She said he stood up and yelled at her and placed his fist on her cheek and shoved her head back. She said that she left the home and returned later with her sister. She said that he was still upset and yelling.The sister called police and the husband left the home. She was given information on obtaining a protection order.
