Sunday 11/22

8:31 p.m. To David Allen Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she allowed a female subject to stay with her for a few months. She said that after the subject left, she found that her credit card, a $400 quilt and $100 in cash were missing. The subject had also rented a car on her credit card for $552.35. She said that she has called and texted the subject trying to get her to replace the items and cash but to no avail. She said that she will prosecute the subject.

10:43 p.m. Traffic stop on S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. at Gerlaugh Rd. The driver was advised that she was stopped because the deputy saw her texting while she was driving. She was asked to exit the vehicle and was advised that her back seat passengers had active warrants. She said that she did not know them and had only known the front seat passenger for a few weeks. She would not allow a search of the vehicle. The drug dog was summoned and showed a change of behavior. The vehicle was searched and yielded a smoking device used for smoking meth. Deputies also found a cigarette case containing a clear crystal-like substance believed to be meth. The driver was charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monday 11/23

5:07 p.m. To Fenwick Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that a female subject, whom she has known for years and treats as one of her children, came to her home asking for food. She said that when the subject left, some of her medication was gone. She said the subject returned a little while later and appeared to be high on pills. She said she told the subject that if she returned the pills, no charges would be filed. The subject stated that she no longer had the pills. The woman filled out a statement.

7:09 p.m. To Rachel Ct. A man reported that a male acquaintance called and threatened him and his dog with bodily harm. She said that the acquaintance owes him money and doesn’t want to pay it back. Attempts to reach the acquaintance by phone were unsuccessful. He requested that the incident be documented in case the acquaintance follows through with his threats.

Tuesday 11/24

8:00 p.m. Traffic stop in the 200 block of N. Main St. The driver was found to have two active suspensions and his plates were expired. The driver said that he was aware of the suspensions and the expired tags. As deputies were speaking to the driver, they saw a metal pipe on the seat. He was asked if there were any drugs or weapons in the vehicle, and he pointed out a 10” knife above the visor. He admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day. He was charged with two counts of driving under suspension, expired tags and possession of drug paraphernalia. The knife was submitted into evidence because it was concealed. The prosecutor’s office will be contacted regarding charges of carrying a concealed weapon. The vehicle was towed.

Wednesday 11/25

12:47 a.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she and her boyfriend were involved in a verbal argument earlier this evening. Both advised that the situation was over. The boyfriend stated that he had too much to drink and apologized for yelling. He called his father for a ride to calm the situation down.

10:10 p.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a report of an assault. Deputies arrived to find a woman outside crying. She said that she and her boyfriend were arguing and that she is 8 months pregnant with his child. She said that they went to her cousin’s home, and when they arrived he pushed her and threatened her and her family with bodily harm. She said that on the way home, he grabbed the steering wheel making the car swerve into oncoming traffic. She said that she told him that was stupid and he said that he didn’t care. She said that when they got home, he took her keys and was verbally abusive to her and her daughter. She was complaining of severe abdominal pain, so Bethel Twp. Medics were called. The boyfriend said that he was arguing with the woman but denied anything physical. When he was told that he was under arrest, he fled the scene. Deputies chased him and threatened to tase him if he didn’t stop. The boyfriend then fell down and said that he was done. He was cuffed and advised that he was under arrest for domestic violence, assault and resisting arrest. He then jerked away from the deputy, elbowed him in the chin and fled. Deputies tackled him in the yard and placed him in the cruiser. He was transported to the Clark county jail with an additional charge of felony assault on a police officer.

Thursday 11/26

6:25 a.m. To Campbell Ave. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone took a shotgun with a box of ammunition and a compound bow with accessories. He said that the vehicle was locked and a window had been broken out. Prints were lifted from a pair of shooting glasses.

11:16 a.m. To Lincoln Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. She said her boyfriend came to her home and accused her of having other relationships and asked to see her phone. A verbal argument began which evolved into a pushing match. She said she left the home and her boyfriend followed and began kicking her vehicle. She said he then left. She asked that nothing be done in this incident.

Friday 11/27

8:26 p.m. To Galewood Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that on Wednesday he allowed a co-worker to borrow some tools that were to be returned the following morning. He said that he called the co-worker who asked if he could return them this morning. He said that the tools have not been rturned and that the co-worker will not return his texts or phone calls. He was advised that without proof that the tools were his, nothing could be done. Attempts to reach the co-worker by phone and at his home were unsuccessful.

11:57 p.m. To S. Tecumseh Rd. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that she returned home to find her TV, DVD player, laptop computer, tablet and duffle bag were missing. She identified a handyman who has been doing work for her as a possible suspect. Deputies were unable to locate any fingerprints. She said she would notify deputies once she was able to obtain serial numbers of the items.

Saturday 11/28

8:15 a.m. To Stratmore St. for a peace officer call. A man asked a deputy to be present whne he picked up his child. He said that he has a temporary order for visitation. The child’s mother said that the child was sick and that she didn’t want the child going out. The man requested that the incident be documented.

10:09 a.m. To Carman Ave. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took a jacket and about $20 in change. His brother reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took a rifleand about $10 in change. Due to the rain and textures of the interiors, fingerprints could not be taken.

11:31 a.m. To Hedwick St. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her vehicle had been entered, the dashboard had been damaged and the screen taken. She said a pair of boots was also taken. The vehicle had been ransacked.

12:13 p.m. To N. Tecumseh Rd. for a report of a domestic dispute. A woman reported that her daughter became upset when she was asked to pick up her laundry. She said that her daughter said “a few choice words” and then called her grandmother. She said that the grandmother wanted to talk to her and the daughter wanted the phone back. She said she did not give it back because she was talking to the grandmother. The daughter then tried to take the phone away, hitting her mother in the head while doing so. She did not wish to press charges. The daughter admitted to “getting an attitude” with her mother over laundry and was upset with her mother for not giving her phone back to her when she wanted it. The daughter left with her grandmother to allow things to cool down.

1:14 p.m. A Sycamore Rd. resident called to report that someone entered her vehicle overnight and took several items. She said that the vehicle was unlocked. She asked for a report for her insurance company.

1:45 p.m. To Sycamore Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took his checkbook and other items. He said he has already notified his bank.

3:18 p.m. To Bayberry Dr. A woman reported that when the roads are wet, young drivers like to speed down Bayberry Dr. and slide through the curve in front of her home. She said that today a pink Chevy S-10 slid through the curve and went into her yard, damaging the grass. She said that this is about the 4th time that this has happened. She did not get a license number.

8:17 p.m. To McAdams Dr. for a report of a theft. A store employee reported that a man entered the store and went to the contraceptives aisle and stayed there for a few minutes. He said the man soon left and appeared to be holding something in his left pocket. As he went past the security system, it went off, and he asked the man to return to the store. The subject then left, got into a black Jeep Cherokee and left. The employee provided a DVD of video surveillance. About 90 minutes later, another deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on Styer near Weinland. He was not the theft suspect, but he said that he allowed a friend to use his vehicle earlier. The driver told deputies that the suspect could be found at a home on Cliffside Dr. Deputies went there and a woman told them that he was not there. A man who owns the home said that the suspect was there. The suspect was located in a bedroom on the floor under a blanket. His hands had bloody sores from drug use. He had open warrants. He then went into a seizure, and Bethel EMS was called and they found him unresponsive. He was given two rounds of Narcan but still did not respond. He was transported to Grandview Hospital.

Friday 11/27

10:58 a.m. Disturbance in the 9100 block of South State Route 202. Deputies responded to residence to find one female accusing another female of taking three of her clozapine. The first female admitted she slapped the other when she found out she had taken her medication. Both parties refused charges and they were separated for the evening.

Saturday 11/28

2:00 a.m. Assist citizen in the area of South State Route 202 and West Charleston Road. Deputy was on routine patrol when he found a vehicle sitting on the side of the road. After making contact with the driver, Britany Blair, it was determined she was intoxicated. Blair was issued a citation for physical control of a vehicle.

Sunday 11/29

3:32 p.m. Unruly juvenile reported in the 3700 block of Rudy Road. Mom reported juvenile son had run away. Mom said they were arguing about him going to a friend’s house; said she was upset and told son to “just leave”. The son was located on Tipp Elizabeth Road and transported back home. Mom didn’t want son charged. He was warned for his unruly behavior.

Monday, 11/30

12:24 p.m. Disturbance reported in the 7700 block of Windham Drive. RP advised his child’s mother had come to the residence when he was gone. RP advised she entered the residence without permission and took their child. Mom said the daughter opened the back door and let her in the residence. Mom provided a Fairborn address where she and the child were located. The residence owner wanted the mother charged with trespassing and deputy advised he would first have to check with the prosecutor regarding any charges.

Tuesday 12/1

5:57 p.m. Assist squad at the Sunshine MHP, 6205 US Route 40. Deputy was dispatched for an elderly male who was intoxicated and being verbal. RP said she had called 911 because the intoxicated male fell on the ground. RP also added the male was on probation and was able to provide the probation officer’s name. The male admitted he had been consuming alcohol which is in violation of his probation. His probation officer didn’t want him incarcerated but said the male needed to call her in the morning. It was decided the male didn’t need to leave the residence.

6:45 p.m. Unruly juvenile reported in the 6100 block of Agenbroad Road. Dad reported his 15 year old daughter was being disrespectful, back talking and not doing what she is asked. While speaking with the juvenile, she admitted to being disrespectful and not doing what she was asked. She was told she must obey her father and respect his rules of the house. It was further explained the juvenile court process to both father and daughter. Daughter said she understood what was explained and father didn’t wish daughter to be charged with unruly.

11:08 p.m. Domestic dispute reported in the 4400 block of Dinsmore Drive. No further information available at this time.

Wednesday 12/2

12:11 p.m. Fraud reported in the 9800 block of Haskett Lane. An unknown person(s) had tried to open a credit card using the RP’s information. A report was needed for the credit card investigators.

Thursday 12/3

3:17 a.m. Suspicious vehicle in the area of 8500 South State Route 201. Vehicle was located and contact made with the driver Candice L. Furlong. After further investigation Furlong was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for OVI.

5:34 p.m. Warrant in the 5300 block of US Route 40. Deputies attempted to locate a female that had a warrant for her arrest out of Washington Courthouse. The female was located and taken into custody. Washington Courthouse also requested they check the residence for a 17 year old male that was supposed to be returned to his father. The juvenile’s diversion officer requested he not be returned to the father due to safety concerns. The female was transported to the Miami County Jail where she was incarcerated.
