Sunday, 11/1

1:34 AM  To Lundgren Dr. for a report of a woman screaming for help. The RPs advised that an extremely upset woman came to their door saying that she had been beaten up by her husband. The woman was located in front of her home and was very upset and crying. She said that she was out drinking with her husband, and that he started talking about buying drugs to get high. She said she left him and walked home. She said that he has assured her that he is no longer doing drugs. She stated that she arrived home, and her husband arrived soon after, began throwing things and tore the door off of a closet. She said she tried to flee to the bedroom, but he pushed her into walls several times and pushed her into the bedroom door. She said she then left the home and went to the neighbors to call for help. She had several injuries consistent with her story. Warrants were issued for the husband and she was given information on obtaining a protection order.

11:13 AM  To W. National Rd. for a report of an argument. A man reported that he went to his ex-girlfriend’s home to pick up some items, the girlfriend became angry and broke his driver’s side windows with a baseball bat. He did not want to press charges.

Monday, 11/2

3:31 AM  To Beach Dr. for a 911 hangup. Deputies arrived to find a man outside the home, and he said that he had a dispute with his girlfriend. Both individuals were found to have outstanding warrants and taken to the Clark County Jail.

4:46 PM  To Stratmore St. for a report of menacing. A woman reported that she was recovering from surgery and had a friend helping her with errands. She said that as she was leaving, one of her dogs ran out of the house and went to a neighbor’s yard. She said she sent her son to get the dog, and the neighbor began yelling and cursing because the dog and the boy were in his yard. She said she apologized to him, and he threatened to get a gun and shoot the dog if it happened again. The neighbor apologized to deputies for his actions.

Tuesday, 11/3

5:45 PM  To New Carlisle Pike for a landlord-tenant issue. A woman reported that her landlord arrived at her home and struck her vehicle, pushing it into the garage door. The landlord was located, and he said that he obviously was going too fast, slid on the wet leaves and struck the woman’s vehicle. Since it occurred on private property, no charges were filed.

6:21 PM  To N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of identity fraud. A woman reported that she received a call from a check cashing company advising her that she was late with her loan payment. She said that she has never taken out a loan with that company. She said that they were trying to get personal information from her, and thought that it might be a scam. The deputy called the company, and they verified that a loan was taken out in her name on October 13. She was given contact information for the company’s fraud department. She was also advised to contact the FTC and the Ohio Attorney General’s office.

7:01 PM  To W. First St., Springfield, for a report of an argument. A woman reported that she had been involved in an argument with her husband at her mother’s home on Gordon Rd. She said that he threatened to take her vehicle, so she went to her father’s home on First St. to hide. She was advised that since they are married, the vehicle is shared property.

7:05 PM  To Burkett Ave. for a report of a woman outside yelling at a neighbor. A woman reported that her cat got out and she looked in the neighbor’s yard for it. She said that the neighbor’s garage door was open, so she looked in the garage when the neighbor came out and yelled at her to stay off of his property. The neighbor said that the woman has been a problem since she moved in. He said that he saw her outside and told her to stay off of his property. He said he then noticed damage to his vehicle. He suspects the woman but has no proof.

Wednesday, 11/4

1:41 AM  To Hartley Ave. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that her boyfriend came to her home and accused her of “messing around” on him. She said he overturned several pieces of furniture in the home. She said she became fearful for her children’s safety so she took them to a neighbor’s home. She said she returned to get some clothing for the children, and he struck her in the face and held her against a wall threatening to kill her. The boyfriend had already left when deputies arrived. Warrants were issued against the boyfriend for assault and menacing.

9:29 AM  To Fenwick Dr. for a report of vandalism. A bank representative in New York called to report damage to one of their foreclosed homes. She said that another representative found damage to the drywall, exterior door and three windows.

8:43 PM  To Michelle Dr. for a report of a neighbor dispute. A man reported that he was leaving for church and the neighbors were in their garage cursing. He said he told the neighbors to “shush” and left. He said that when he returned home, the neighbor made threats toward him. The neighbor said that the man was at the end of his driveway yelling and making threats toward him. He said that when the man returned home, he tried to talk to him, but the neighbor started yelling at him. He said it was clear that he was not going to be able to talk calmly, so he returned home. Both were advised to avoid contact with each other.

Friday, 11/6

2:51 AM  To Medway-Carlisle Rd. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that her boyfriend had forced his way into her home and was tearing up the house. Deputies arrived to find a man outside the home. He was detained. Deputies entered the home which was destroyed and had broken glass and damaged furniture. They found the woman in an upstairs bedroom with her children. She said that her boyfriend went drinking with his brother. When she heard of this, she texted him and told him not to come home because he was already drunk. She said that he and his brother showed up anyway and she told them to leave. She said that he became enraged, forced the door open and shoved her. She said the brother tried to intervene and she fled to an upstairs bedroom and locked the door. She said that the boyfriend followed her yelling that he was going to kill her. She said he tried to get into the bedroom but was unable to. She said that the brother came upstairs to try to calm the boyfriend, and the two began fighting. The boyfriend was charged with two counts of domestic violence and two counts of assault and taken to the Clark County Jail.

8:00 AM  To Brubaker Dr. for a report of breaking and entering. The property manager reported that when she arrived for work this morning, she found a shed had been broken into. A snow blower, weed eater and leaf blower were missing. She said that the maintenance man was let go yesterday for refusing a drug test. She said that he was very upset and was already in possession of a push mower belonging to the apartment complex and has not returnedit.

9:53 AM  To the City of New Carlisle offices for a report of a bad check. A woman reported that a check written to the city was returned for insufficient funds. She said that she has tried to contact the man who wrote the check but has been unable to. The deputy was able to reach the man and he promised to come make good on the check. On 11/10, the deputy checked with the city and the man had made good on the check.

1:05 PM  To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that when he was sent to prison, he signed his property over to a female friend and that she was to give everything to his mother. He said that when he was released, he learned that there were unauthorized withdrawls from his bank account and that she had forged a check for $600 to pay her rent.

1:54 PM  To Frayne Dr. for a report of breaking and entering. A woman reported that someone entered her unlocked car and took a laptop computer and several other electronic items.

6:37 PM  To Lambers Dr. for a report of menacing. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend has been coming to her home trying to get back together. She said that they have been in verbal disputes before and she is unsure of what he is capable of doing. She said that today he ran his vehicle into the rear of hers, and that a report was filed with Springfield Police.

8:26 PM  To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a fight. Upon arriving, deputies were advised that there was no fight. A woman was located who said that she was the victim of domestic violence that occurred in a car on 235 in Montgomery County. Huber Heights Police were called and they took the report. Medics were called to treat her injuries.

10:55 PM  To Kennedy Dr. for a report of a dispute. A woman reported that her husband, who left her home three days ago, was at her home causing problems. She said she was having a family bonfire and went out front to find her daughter’s boyfriend trying to break up a fight between her husband and her cousin. She said she told her husband that he was too intoxicated to drive and took the keys from his vehicle. She said that he grabbed her by the neck, pushed her and took the keys, then left. The woman’s son related a similar chain of events. While speaking with the deputies, the husband called the woman and made threats toward her. The husband was found on Quick Rd. and said that he went to his home and was jumped by two unknown men. He said that he was able to get back into his vehicle and leave. He denied speaking with his wife or calling her. A witness stated that he saw the husband call his wife. The husband was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for his injuries. Warrants will be issued against the husband for the altercation. He was picked up on 11/7 and taken to the Clark County Jail.

Saturday, 11/7

10:09 AM  To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of theft. A store manager reported that an employee had several questionable deductions on her cash report for the month. The employee was suspended on Oct 27. He said that when the employee was questioned, she said “I will pay back the money so I can keep my job and regain trust with the manager.” After checking his records, the manager found that nearly $7000 was taken by the employee. He said that he contacted her and said that the money would have to be paid back or charges would be filed.

10:44 AM  To Myers Cemetery for a report of a theft. A cemetery trustee reported that two steel truck rims that were by the shed were no longer there. There are no suspects.

2:49 PM  To Orth Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone took a gun from his home. He identified two individuals who were in his home after he last saw the gun.

11:01 PM  To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of aggravated robbery. Several subjects wearing masks were reported forcing their way into an apartment. Four subjects were found exiting the building and they were secured. One had a loaded handgun, and it was secured. The victim said someone knocked at his door. When he answered it, a subject hit him in the face, put a gun to his head and said that he wanted all of his drugs. He said that the subject was wearing a black toboggan ski mask. He said that another subject wearing a similar mask entered the home as well. He said he got the small amount of marijuana that he had and gave it to them. The subjects then left the apartment. He said he might have recognized one of them from his voice. Deputies located the identified suspect, and he had witnesses to confirm his whereabouts that evening. The detained subjects were released.

Bethel Township

Friday, 11/6

3:58 PM Fraud reported in the 8300 block of Flick Road. RP had just returned from the Cincinnati/Kentucky area and received a call from his bank. The bank stated someone had been using his credit card in Kentucky. Checking his wallet, the RP was still in possession of the card. An informational report was completed so the RP could send it to the Union Township Police in Cincinnati where the fraudulent purchases were made.

Sunday, 11/8

3:36 PM Barking dog complaint in the 4100 block of S. Dayton Brandt Road.

6:58 PM Unruly juvenile reported in the 7500 block of Newbury Road. Male juvenile became upset over being asked to help with chores and left residence without permission. The juvenile was entered in to LEADS as a missing/unruly juvenile. A few hours later mom called dispatch to report she has spoken to her son and he was on his way home. Juvenile was removed from records as missing.

10:14 PM Disturbance reported in the 8100 block of S State Route 202. RP stated Jason Bailey had broken a laptop computer and caused physical harm to her. Bailey refused to give his side of the story without an attorney present. Bailey was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Miami County Jail.
