Monday 9/11

5:22 a.m. To S. Clay St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that his son-in-law saw a male subject sitting on his truck’s tailgate. He said that the subject took a lunchbox and wallet from a vehicle, but when he saw the son-in-law pull up, he put the items back in the vehicle. The subject admitted to taking the items, but he said he put them back. The RP said that there were two other individuals with the subject, but they took off on foot before the deputy arrived. The deputy asked who was with him, and he said he was by himself. The subject was charged with theft. He appeared in court on Tuesday morning and plead Not Guilty.

6:14 a.m. To W. Jefferson St. for a report of a theft. Two weapons were taken. No further details were given.

7:06 p.m. A deputy saw an individual in the 400 block of N. Main St. that he thought had outstanding warrants. The deputy confirmed the warrants and transported the individual to the Clark County Jail.

9:49 p.m. To Weinland St. to serve a warrant. While at the residence, another individual was located who had an outstanding warrant from Moraine PD. He was transported to the county line and turned over to Moraine PD without incident.

Tuesday 9/12

1:50 p.m. To W. Lake Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance. No further details were given.

1:56 p.m. To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. No further details were given.

Wednesday 9/13

4:17 p.m. To Wendall Ave. for a report of criminal damaging. No further details were given.

4:41 p.m. To N. Scott St. for a report of a missing adult.

Thursday 9/14

7:53 a.m. To W. Jefferson St. for a report of vandalism. A woman reported that someone had written graffiti along the side of her building.

Friday 9/15

8:07 a.m. To John Ave. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone took her minivan without her permission.

Bethel Twp (Miami)

Saturday 9/9

10:20 a.m. Fraud reported in the 5900 block of Studebaker Road. Complainant advised she was selling items through several online sites. When trying to sell a large cabinet, she received suspicious emails as well as a fraudulent check to pay for the item. All questions were answered and the complainant was advised the incident would be documented.

9:14 p.m. Disturbance reported at A and R Reck MHP, 4220 US Route 40. Male and female were having a verbal altercation about the discipline of their child. Upon deputy’s arrival, the situation was calm between the two and their son was not present at that time. Deputy advised both that they needed to find a better way to work their problems out so as to not disturb the peace. Both said they understood and would do so. There were no signs that anything physical happened in this incident.

Sunday 9/10

2:47 a.m. Disturbance in the 8400 block of State Route 201. Upon arrival at the residence, deputy was met by Quenten Clark in the driveway. He immediate began to adjust his clothing to show the deputy fresh scrapes on his thigh and upper back. He stated he had received these injuries after rolling out of a moving vehicle. He stated a female had been driving erratically and intended to kill both of them. Deputy was able to speak with the female who stated she was driving after they had been out drinking. She further stated they got into an argument and he grabbed the steering wheel and tried to turn the vehicle off the roadway. When they got close to pulling into a driveway, he punched her in the right eye. He then opened the door and rolled out of the moving vehicle. After parking the vehicle, she stated she tried to get Clark to talk to her. They again began to argue and he grabbed her around the throat. Deputy observed damage done to the interior of the vehicle that matched the female’s story. He also found visible injuries to the female that also matched her story of Clark’s aggression. Quenten L. Clark was taken into custody for domestic violence. He was transported to and incarcerated in the Miami County Jail. The female did not wish to pursue charges regarding the damage to the vehicle and also declined to review the domestic violence packet.

5:32 a.m. Suspicious person/vehicle in the area of US Route 40 and Palmer Road. More information requested from Miami County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) but was not provided.

Tuesday 9/12

3:17 p.m. Welfare check at Charleston Falls Preserve, 2535 Ross Road. Dispatch advised deputy an individual was in the park attempt to cut himself with a knife. Deputy located the male and he was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by Bethel Township Squad.

6:02 p.m. Theft not in progress in the 4500 block of Rudy Road. The stolen items were located at several Pawn Shops and holds were placed on the items.

Wednesday 9/13

2:45 p.m. Suspicious priority in the 7600 block of Windham Drive. Further information was requested from the MCSO but not provided.

4:39 p.m. Theft not in progress in the 6000 block of S. State Route 201. Victim had his log splitter attachment stolen. He last saw the splitter in April but did not report it as people frequently borrows his stuff without asking. He checked with everyone he knew and no one had borrowed it. The make and model are unknown and the only description he has is a gray log splitter attachment that fits on a skid steer type tractor.
