9:01 p.m. To Styer Dr. for a report of possible vehicle damage.

Sunday 7/2

10:20 a.m. To N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a suspicious person. An individual was walking along the roadway after coming out of the woods. The incident was called off by another deputy.

3:15 p.m. To N. Church St. for a report of threats. A man reported receiving threatening text messages.

7:55 p.m. To Caldwell Circle for a report of a fight.

Monday 7/3

9:18 a.m. To Cory St. for a welfare check. The subject said that he and his 17-year-old girlfriend received a call from her ex-boyfriend stating that he wanted to pick up his personal belongings at her residence in Park Layne. He said that she agreed to this and would ride there with the boyfriend. The man said that he followed them to make sure she was OK, since the boyfriend has anger issues. He said that the boyfriend passed her street and continued toward Medway. He said he saw the girlfriend open the door of the vehicle while it was moving, and saw the boyfriend grab her to pull her back in. The boyfriend’s mother was contacted, and she said he was supposed to be at work and didn’t know anything was happening. She was able to provide the boyfriend’s phone number. The boyfriend was called, and said that he was taking the girlfriend back to her residence from Indiana. He said that they went to fireworks at Shelton, Indiana at the girlfriend’s request because she had never seen them before. The mother was again contacted to get the boyfriend’s vehicle information. Deputies then went to the girlfriend’s home and the couple soon arrived. The boyfriend denied any physical contact with the woman. The girlfriend said that she agreed to give the boyfriend his possessions, but the boyfriend insisted that she ride in his truck. She said that when he passed her street, she asked where he was going, and he replied, “We’re going to Indiana.” She said she tried to exit the vehicle while it was moving, and he grabbed her and pulled her back in. She said she remained quiet during the drive, but the boyfriend kept getting more and more agitated. Returning home, she said the boyfriend tried to corroborate a story with her so he wouldn’t get into trouble. The girl’s mother was contacted and she said she wanted charges filed against the boyfriend. He was charged with two counts of assault and unlawful restraint.

5:31 p.m. To McAdams Dr. for a report of a possible theft.

Tuesday 7/4

12:58 p.m. To Sunrise Terrace for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone stole and used his debit card.

Wednesday 7/5

1:58 a.m. To Klose Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she and her boyfriend were intoxicated and having a disagreement.

Thursday 7/6

12:42 a.m. To Frayne Dr. for a report of a suspicious individual. A subject was reported going through yards and possibly taking items from yards. The deputy arrived, and several people were pointing in the direction that the subject went. He was apprehended in a yard on Bookwalter Ave. The subject had warrants for criminal damaging. The subject said that he was punched in the nose and mouth by several people. His lip was swollen and his nose was slightly red. A squad was called to check him out. Medics arrived and determined that the subject was fine. He was arrested on the warrant and taken to the Clark County Jail.

8:08 a.m. To Orth Dr. for a report of an unwanted guest. A woman reported that there were two individuals at her home and that she did not want them there. They were advised. The deputy checked them for warrants and found that one had a warrant from Springfield for theft. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Clark County Jail.

4:29 p.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of a possible domestic disturbance.

Bethel Township Miami

Friday 6/30

9:42 a.m. Abandoned vehicle at Bethel Township Fire Department, 8735 S. Second Street. Deputy had several failed attempts to contact the registered owner of the vehicle. Jim’s Towing removed the vehicle from the property.

5:04 p.m. Civil dispute in the 4299 block of Lisa Drive. No further information was made available.

5:26 p.m. Animal complaint in the 6500 block of Pisgah Road. Deputy made contact with homeowners and advised them of the complaint received and Bethel Township noise ordinance.

Saturday 7/1

3:24 a.m. Welfare check in the 6200 block of US Route 40. At the conclusion of the investigation, contact was made with the alleged victim who stated there was no problem at the residence.

Sunday 7/2

1:43 a.m. Suspicious vehicle 7200 block of S. State Route 202. Deputy initiated a suspicious in nature call and after further investigation, the driver of the vehicle involved was arrested and charged with OVI.

2:43 a.m. Accident with injury reported in the area of Sullivan Road and US Route 40. After further investigation, an individual was charged with OVI and Failure To Control.

Monday7/3

00:15 a.m. Warrant arrest in the area of S. State Route 201 and Singer Road. Deputy checked a vehicle through LEADS and found the registered owner, William Morris, had an active warrant out of Montgomery County. A traffic stop was initiated and deputy made contact with Morris and advised him of the warrant. The warrant was confirmed by Montgomery County and Morris was taken into custody. The vehicle was picked up by a friend and Morris was turned over to Riverside PD without incident. Case Closed.

Tuesday 7/4

3:05 p.m. Assist fire department at the 571 Bridge, 4000 E. State Route 571. Deputy was dispatched along with Bethel township and Huber Heights E.M.S. for a water rescue on the south side of the E. State Route 571 bridge. Two male subjects fell out of their kayak near a small island of debris. Their kayak continued down the river and they became stranded. One male subject was rescued and taken to shore by a group of passing boaters. The other male was rescued and taken to shore by Huber’s water rescue team. Neither subject suffered any injuries.

Wednesday 7/5

1:35 p.m. Disturbance in the 9200 block of Bellefontaine Road. Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic violence incident which had occurred in Clark County. Deputies were requested to check the welfare of the female who had involved. Upon arrival, a male was standing by a motorcycle at the end of the driveway. He identified himself as “Kurt” which is the name of the male that had been involved in the domestic incident. Deputy identified him as Kurtis Sadgebury and was found to have a warrant through Clark County. Deputy also observed a female sitting on the porch steps and another male along with her. Female advised Sadgebury had made threats toward her, her family and had been physical with her in Clark County. She and the other male requested Sadgebury be trespassed from the property. Deputy returned to the end of the driveway, the warrant was confirmed and Sadgebury was taken into custody. A relative arrived to collect some of his property and take the keys of the motorcycle so it could be removed from the location. At this time, Sadgebury was informed he was trespassed from this property and could be charged if he returned. He was then transported to Miami County Incarceration Facility.

Friday 7/7

1:36 p.m. Criminal damage reported in the 6800 block of Palmer Road. No further information available at time of this report.

11:17 p.m. Disturbance reported at Sunshine MHP, 6205 US Route 40. Deputies dispatched on the report of a domestic situation between male and female. Female said male suffers from dementia and had a few beers that evening. When he combines alcohol with his medication, he can become belligerent. Deputies spoke with the male who appeared to be calm and not intoxicated. He simply complained his wife is crazy and once she starts arguing, she won’t stop. Neither party claimed violence had occurred. They decided to stay in opposite ends of the residence.

11:56 p.m. Domestic dispute in the 4100 block of Scarff Road.
