12:54 PM  To Prentice Dr. for a report of menacing. A man reported that his girlfriend’s father pointed a gun at his head and said “I’m going to kill you.” The daughter said she saw her dad point a gun at her boyfriend and said “Don’t threaten me.” The father said that the gun was not involved in the disagreement and that it was locked in his safe. The deputy checked with the prosecutor’s office, and a prosecutor said that since the victim was not in fear for his safety, charges should not be filed.

3:22 PM  To Hyer Dr. for a report of a breaking and entering. A woman reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle but did not take anything. She said that they also entered her mother-in-law’s locked vehicle and took her wallet containing her debit card, social security card, driver’s license and $10 in cash. She said the bank has been contacted and the card was cancelled before any money was withdrawn.

3:52 PM  To Fyffe Ave. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone took his leaf blower from the bed of his truck. He said they also entered the truck and took his cell phone and the keys to another vehicle but did not enter it.

Monday, Oct. 12

6:52 AM  To Detrick Jordan Pike for a report of a car fire. When the deputy arrived, the fire was out but the car was smoking. He could not find anyone around. The registered owner was a Fairborn resident. Fairborn PD tried to make contact but no one answered the door. The car was towed.

11:28 AM  To Aspen Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she noticed last Friday that some jewelry was missing from her home. She said she did not report it at that time because she was going out of town for the weekend. She also said that she did not know how long ago the jewelry was stolen because she rarely wears it. She said that several family members are in and out of the home often, but does not suspect any of them.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

4:50 AM  To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a theft. A woman reported that some time overnight, a known male subject broke into her vehicle and took her purse containing several credit cards and other personal effects. She said she suspects him because her son’s girlfriend sent a text message asking if she was missing any credit cards. She said that the girlfriend had them and traced them back to the male subject.

8:41 AM  To Smith Park for a report of an assault. A woman reported that she called her ex-boyfriend so she could go to his residence on W. Washington St. and pick up some of her possessions and he agreed. She said that as she was leaving, he pushed her through the doorway and slammed the door closed hitting her back. Deputies went to the residence but the boyfriend was not home.

11:53 AM  To Slayton St. for a report of a theft. A woman said she learned that her bank account was empty. She said her daughter admitted to taking over $4000 from her account. She said that her daughter would be turning herself in and would pay the money back.

5:43 PM  Traffic stop on Corvette Ave. A motorcyclist was acting very suspicious and his bike had no license plate. The cyclist then began calling the deputy by name asking the deputy to let him go. The cyclist had a glass smoking pipe in his pocket. He was also found to have two bags of Meth in his pants. The VIN of the cycle had been painted over so that it was not readable. It was towed for further investigation. The cyclist was arrested.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

3:25 AM  To Elm Rd. for a report of a car fire. The deputy arrived to find the vehicle fully involved. A man on the scene said he was asleep when he heard a loud boom and glass breaking. He said he went outside and saw the vehicle on fire in his driveway. He then moved two other vehicles to a safer location. He said that he then contacted the owner who soon arrived. The owner said he bought the vehicle last July from a friend, and the resident was working on it. The fire investigator said the origin is suspicious and that it would be investigated further.

12:35 PM  To N. Hampton Rd. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that he arrived home to find his back door had been broken. Deputies searched the residence but found no one inside. He said that four firearms and a broken cell phone were missing.

7:26 PM  To N. Hampton Rd. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that his garage had been entered and some property was taken. He also said that several items were taken from his apartment and several pieces of furniture had been moved.

10:21 PM  To N. Main St. for a report of an alarm. The alarm company said that a front window of a business had been broken out. Deputies arrived to find the front window broken out and a rock lying on the floor. An employee was called and soon arrived. He said that some merchandise was missing, and that a male subject had been in earlier asking about those items.

Thursday, Oct. 15

1:42 AM  To Osborn Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her adult son and his girlfriend came to her residence, and he soon started acting up. She said she told him to act right or leave. She said he told her that he was taking his child if he left, and an argument ensued. She said she called 911 because her son has been physical with her in the past. She said that he left shortly after she called 911 because he did not want to be arrested on his warrant. She said the girlfriend could stay as long as she followed the house rules. Shortly after the deputy cleared this call, another deputy saw the son near the Quality Food Mart, chased him and took him into custody. He was found to have a box that he used to smoke marijuana. It was taken and submitted into property. He was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Clark County Jail.

9:10 AM  To Carriage Hill Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that both of her vehicles had been entered and ransacked and that change, some checks and some keys were taken.

9:37 AM  To Carriage Hill Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that the family’s three vehicles had been entered and ransacked overnight. She said that nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicles, but when her husband returns home from work he will check the garage for missing items.

12:14 PM  To N. Clay St. for a report of a found item. A woman reported that while she was out for a walk, she found a bank card on the sidewalk on Lake Ave. at Smith St. She said she called the bank and they advised her to destroy the card and that they would notify the owner.

1:24 PM  To Colony Trail for a report of a theft. A man reported that he found his vehicle had been entered, the glove box was open and items were thrown around in the vehicle. He said he did not see or hear anything.

5:54 PM  To N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she and her daughter had been arguing over the daughter’s lack of respect for her. She said that the daughter continues to yell at everyone. She said her daughter could stay for tonight, but tomorrow she would have to find another place to live. Both parties agreed to stay away from each other for the night.

7:11 PM  To Lambers Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her husband took her vehicle. She was advised that it could not be reported as stolen since they are married. She said that he has been using cocaine and she is concerned that the vehicle might be damaged or wrecked. She said that his license is under suspension.

Friday, Oct. 16

8:50 AM  To Church St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that when he and his girlfriend left for work, they found that their unlocked vehicles had been entered. Nothing was taken from his vehicle, but a tablet was taken from the girlfriend’s vehicle.

10:59 AM  To N. Main St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and threw items around. There was no damage to the vehicle. He said he spoke with his neighbors and no one saw or heard anything.

3:29 PM  To Fenwick Dr. for a report of vandalism. A man reported that he was sent to the address to winterize the property and found that a glass door had been damaged. Neighbors stated that the damage was done last April, but no one saw who did it.

8:00 PM  To N. Clay St. for a report of an accident. An unidentified vehicle struck a vehicle parked on the street and left the scene.

Saturday, Oct. 17

1:09 AM  Traffic stop on Tulip Rd. A search of the vehicle yielded a bottle of beer and marijuana. The driver was cited for open container and possession of drugs.

4:38 AM  To Kennedy Rd. for a report of an assault. A man reported that he was involved in a physical fight with his best friend. He said that the friend made some rude comments to his girlfriend, and he told his friend that he was out of line and had to stop. He said that the friend “went off” and threw a table across the room. He said he started yelling at the friend to stop and a fight ensued. He said that his wife tried to stop the fight, but the friend threw her down. He said he was able to push the friend out of the door and locked it. He said he did not wish to press charges.

5:09 AM  To Aspen Rd. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that a light-skinned black man entered her bedroom window, appeared to be intoxicated and said that he was looking for his friend. She said that he then walked away. The deputy searched the area but could not find the suspect.

9:00 AM  To N. Adams St. A woman reported that some time overnight someone broke into her locked vehicle. She said that nothing was taken but the vehicle had been ransacked. She does not know how they were able to gain entry.

5:00 PM  To Rawson Dr. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that someone entered his residence and forced open his lock box that contained his medication. His roommate suspects a neighbor who knew where the medication was kept and has had past issues. Witnesses said that they saw the neighbor walking from the victim’s home but were not paying enough attention to see more.

9:27 PM  To Carman Ave. for a report of an accident. A driver backing out of a driveway struck the rear of a vehicle parked in a driveway across the street. Part of the struck vehicle was in the roadway. No one was cited.

00:07 AM Traffic stop in the area of Singer and Palmer Road. Vehicle was stopped for a lane violation. The driver was issued a citation for left of center and possession of marijuana (less than 100 grams).

3:04 PM Disturbance in the 6600 block of Walnut Street. Dispatch advised deputy that a fifteen year old female locked herself in her room with a knife. Upon arrival deputies met with a family member who stated the juvenile was attempting to hurt herself. The deputies and family member were able to get the juvenile to agree to recieving medical help.

11:48 PM Traffic stop in the area of Ross Road and South State Route 202. Vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. The driver was found to be driving on a suspended license. He was able to contact a friend who responded to remove the driver and his vehicle. The driver was issued a citation for one headlight violation and driving under a non-compliance suspension.

Wednesday, Oct.  21

2:52 PM Littering complaint in the 6500 block of South State Route 202. RP found a large pile of trash on his property. This case is pending further investigation.

11:29 PM Traffic stop in the 5400 block of South Dayton Brandt Road. Driver was stopped for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver to discover her license was suspended. Driver was cited for no license plate light and driving under suspension.

10:58 AM Fraud reported in the 8800 block of US Route 40. RP stated an unknown person fraudulently used her debit car to make an online purchase from Walmart. A report was needed for the bank and Walmart. The RP was provided a case number and given an identity theft packet.
