Friday 2/17

8:44 p.m. To Merrymack Dr., Medway, for a report of criminal damaging. A woman reported that her daughter was driving her car on Campbell Ave. when it was struck. The daughter said she was on Campbell Ave. when a male subject came running out of his driveway and struck her car with a baseball bat or pipe. She said she is familiar with the subject. The deputy saw a hole in the passenger door and a dent above the right rear tire. There were three witnesses in the car, and all signed statements. The owner of the car, the driver’s father, said he wanted to press charges. A warrant was issued for the subject for criminal damaging.

Saturday 2/18

11:07 p.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. A child around 10 years of age had exited a vehicle, gone into the store and had a tantrum in the middle of the store. A woman exited the van, picked up the child and carried her back to the van. A man driving the van exchanged words with the woman, and then they left without checking for traffic on Rt. 235. Store employees and customers thought it suspicious and wanted it documented.

Sunday 2/19

10:58 a.m. To Brubaker Dr. A man reported that someone keeps unlocking his door. He said he locked his door before going to bed, and woke up at 3:00 a.m. and found it unlocked. He said he locked it, then checked the door at 6:00 a.m. and it was unlocked. He said nothing was taken, but doesn’t know how the door keeps getting unlocked. The man appeared to have some mental issues.

12:04 p.m. To Kennedy Dr. to serve a warrant. The suspect was located and taken to the Clark County Jail.

Monday 2/20

6:13 p.m. Traffic stop in the 400 block of Falcon Dr. The deputy recognized the passenger as a known drug dealer, and the passenger was very nervous. Consent to search the vehicle was given, and the deputy found several clear plastic bags. One contained a white crystallized substance, another contained 10 blue pills, and a third contained 10 white pills. Neither the driver nor the passenger admitted to knowing the pills were there or what they were. The driver said she only knew the passenger through her grandson, and said that the pills were not there before the passenger got in. She did not see the passenger put the pills in the console. The pills and crystals were submitted to the lab for processing and possible pending charges.

Tuesday 2/21

4:21 p.m. A man flagged the deputy down to report that he was involved in an accident in the 300 block of N. Main St. He said he was exiting a business and was struck by a white SUV. He said he thought the SUV was slowing down to let him out. The SUV had left the scene. He provided his information in case the SUV driver calls to report the crash.

5:01 p.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that when she left for work this morning, her barn door was closed and locked with a padlock. She said that when her daughter returned home from school, the door was open. She said she found that the padlock had been cut off and was lying in the ground. She said she then noticed that a 4-wheeler and two dirt bikes were missing. The deputy was unable to lift any fingerprints from the lock. There were tire tracks leading from the road to the barn, and a cigarette butt that was not the woman’s husband’s brand. There are no suspects.

8:53 p.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of possible threats and harassment. A man reported that his ex-girlfriend and mother of his three children came to his home demanding the rest of her belongings. He said he gave her the rest of her things, and she insisted on having the Play Station and controllers. He said he started recording the conversation and then she pulled a gun on him. Three witnesses said they saw the girlfriend with the gun. Warrants were issued against the girlfriend for domestic violence and aggravated menacing.

Wednesday 2/22

8:30 a.m. To Galewood Dr. A man reported that someone was trying to enter his residence. He said that someone was in the back yard and didn’t know who it was. The deputy checked with the back yard, but could not find any evidence of anyone being there. Past history indicates that the man has some mental issues.

11:18 p.m. To Orth Dr. A man had called 911 several times wanting someone to talk to. The deputy advised him that he cannot call 911 just to talk. The man said he called the deputy’s secretary, not the deputy. The man appeared to be intoxicated and was difficult to understand. A medic was requested, but the Sergeant told him to disregard the medic, saying that the jail would take him for abusing 911. He was transported to the Clark County Jail.

Thursday 2/22

3:51 p.m. A woman came to the Sheriff’s Office to report that her brother was at home and was videotaping himself walking around the neighborhood. She said that he was on “molly pills” and she is concerned for his well-being. The deputy saw some of his video, and it showed him with what appeared to be a handgun. She requested a welfare check.

Friday 2/23

12:16 a.m. To Gerlaugh Rd. A woman reported that a woman has been harassing her via text messages. She said that the two have been friends for a long time, but lately the woman has been “acting weird” and making suggestions that she has been lying to the woman. She said that she has asked her to stop, and wanted the incident documented. Attempts to contact the woman were unsuccessful.

Saturday 2/24

8:25 a.m. To N. Park Dr. A man reported that his wife left with their five-year-old son. He said that he confronted her about something or someone on her phone and she refused to discuss the issue with him. He was advised to contact his attorney.

3:42 p.m. Bad check reported in the 1100 block of Dayton Brandt Road.

1:18 p.m. Accident with injury in the area of US Route 40 and S. State Route 202

Sunday 2/19

2:08 a.m. Disturbance reported in the 8100 block of S. State Route 202. Female called dispatch to report she was in a physical fight with her husband. After deputy arrived at the residence the female refused to be cooperative. She would only state her husband was “extremely wasted”. Female advised her husband was currently on probation through Miami County and didn’t want to get him into trouble. Deputy spent several minutes attempting to get the female to explain what had happened but continued to be uncooperative; so deputy left the residence.

4:11 a.m. Disturbance reported in the 8100 block of S. State Route 202. This is a second time deputies had been dispatched to the residence. Female called dispatch stating her husband had returned home and felt unsafe and then disconnected from dispatch. Deputies arrived and spoke with the female about the situation. When asked if the male was in the residence, she was hesitant to answer. Deputies went inside and looked around the first floor but was unable to locate him. Returning back outside to speak with the female she was informed that due to the visible injuries they would be filing charges on him. After speaking with her a few minutes, she admitted the male could be found upstairs. Deputy started yelling the male’s name and he eventually appeared with his hands up. Jason Bailey was placed under arrest for domestic violence. Bailey is currently on probation for domestic violence through Miami County. Due to the prior conviction, he was charged and incarcerated for felony domestic. The female refused to fill out a written statement but did give the deputy a verbal one. Deputy worked through the domestic packet with the female and she signed the appropriate pages. She still remained uncooperative and would not allow pictures of her injuries to be taken. Deputy attempted to get her medical help for her injuries but she also refused this help.

11:37 a.m. Solicitors reported in the 8100 block of US Route 40. RP wanted to alert the MCSO in case there were thefts in the area. Deputy patrolled the area and was unable to locate the late model, grey Ford single cab pickup truck.

8:54 p.m. Accident with no injury in the 6800 block of S. State Route 202

Tuesday 2/21

6:59 a.m. Suspicious vehicle reported in the 9700 block of Bellefontaine Road. RP reported a suspicious vehicle had pulled into his driveway and then turning its head lights off. The vehicle would sit in the driveway for a few minutes and then leave. A neighbor told the RP this has been happening lately. The RP was encouraged to call 911 if the vehicle was spotted.

7:26 a.m. Accident with no injury in the area of S. State Route 202 and Gibson Drive.

11:18 a.m. Identify theft reported in the 2800 block of US Route 40. Victim stated his identify was used outside of Ohio.

Wednesday 2/22

3:28 Fraud reported in the 2400 block of S. Dayton Brandt Road. Victim received a bill in the mail stating she had taken a loan out for $425.00. Victim said she did not take out the loan and had never heard of the company. The loan had been sent to collections but the suspect paid off the loan through the collection agency. Her bank advised she get a report to document this incident.

8:25 p.m. Theft not in progress reported in the 6700 block of Bethelville Dr. Deputy spoke with victim over the phone. He is currently out of town and wanted to report his credit card information had been used twice on this day. Once in Blue Ash and again in Cincinnati. Both attempts were made at Kroger Stores. Victim was advised the crime was committed outside of the MCSO jurisdiction he would have to file a report with the local law enforcements in the listed cities.

Thursday 2/23

6:42 p.m. Fraud reported in the 8000 block of Wildcat Road. RP advised when she attempted to e-file her taxes she was advised someone had already filed taxes using her social security number. RP was advised to contact the IRS for an investigation.

Friday 2/24

2:38 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. State Route 202 and Tipp Elizabeth Road. At the conclusions of the traffic stop, the registered owner Anthony Wood was cited for Driving Under Suspension.
