Sunday 9/13

9:45 PM  To Orth Dr. for a report of an accident. An unknown vehicle struck a vehicle parked on Orth Dr. then left the scene.

Tuesday 9/15

1:30 PM  To Free Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone used her personal information to open a cell phone account with AT&T. They requested a police report.

5:00 PM  To Stratmore St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone cut about 10 feet of copper line was cut from an air conditioning unit behind the home. The homeowner requested a report for insurance purposes.

7:18 PM  To New Carlisle Pike for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she was renting a home to two people, and found that clothes and jewelry were missing.

Wednesday 9/16

6:36 PM Hit skip accident involving a Miami County Deputy in the 9900 block of State Route 201. Deputy was conducting a traffic stop on State Route 201 near the Montgomery County line when a vehicle sideswiped his patrol car. Yelling at the vehicle to stop, the driver continued southbound on St Rt 201. Returning to his patrol car, the deputy pursued the vehicle. Finally stopping a mile from the hit skip site, contact was made with the driver identified as Douglas Baker. Asked if he was aware he hit the patrol car, Baker responded “he may have hit it with his mirror”. Deputy also detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Baker. Baker admitted to the deputy that he had a few beers. A Huber Heights officer responded to assist at the scene and Baker was asked to exit his vehicle. Asked and declining, Baker did not want to take a series of standardized field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Miami County Safety Building. Baker consented to a breath test which yielded a blood alcohol content reading of 0.165. Baker was cited for OVI and marked lanes, He was released to a sober party.

Sunday 9/20

04:27 AM Disorderly conduct reported in the 4700 block of Scarff Road. Male was threating harm to himself and discharging a firearm inside the residence while intoxicated. Male was arrested and transported to UMC for medical clearance before being incarcerated.

11:54 PM Suspicious priority reported in the 7900 block of Singer Road. Property owners heard what sounded like somebody opening the doors to their metal shed located behind the house. They also heard somebody trip over something in the neighbor’s yard. Walking outside, the homeowner noticed the doors on the shed were halfway opened. It didn’t appear that anything was stolen or moved. The area was searched but nobody found around the homes.

Tuesday 9/22

12:55 PM Civil dispute in the 7700 block of Singer Road. RP was unhappy with the work contractors were doing on the residence. The RP wanted them to gather their tools and leave the property. The contractors did not want to leave until they had been paid for work that was completed. The contractors were advised to contact an attorney and agreed to leave.

Wednesday 9/23

2:38 PM Criminal damage in the 9300 block of South State Route 201. Business owner called 911 to report someone had attempted to pry a door open on the building. No entry into the building was made and the RP believes it happened sometime during the night.

5:47 PM Unruly juvenile reported in the 9600 block of East Haskett Lane. RP called 911 to advise his grandson was refusing to return home. After further investigation, the juvenile was charged with being unruly.
