Sunday 4/10
12:59 a.m. To Drake Ave. for a report of a disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend had gone to a bar with friends and that a friend dropped him off. She said he was pounding on the door to get in so he could get the keys to his vehicle. She said that she refused to give him the keys because he was intoxicated. She said he was upset because he had a friend with him who needed a ride to Dayton. She said she did not know the friend and was uncomfortable with him being in the home. The boyfriend became upset and said that they were his keys and he pays rent so he should have them. The deputy advised him that if he decided to take the friend to Dayton, he could be charged with OVI. The boyfriend decided that he and the friend would sit in the vehicle until he sobered up.
4:45 a.m. To Edgewick Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend (and father of her child) and she had gone to a get-together. She said that when they returned home (her mother’s home), they started to argue because the boyfriend wanted to go to a friend’s house to drink. She said she would take him later, but he wanted to go right away. She said she did not feel like arguing, so she laid down on the couch. The boyfriend got angry and threw an apron at her, causing a minor injury to her left eye. She said he then left the home on foot. She said he didn’t stay because “he didn’t like cops.” She refused to press charges.
8:45 a.m. To Chalet Dr. to meet with a Parole Officer to assist with a subject. The Parole Officer said he was locking up the subject for parole violation. Inside the home, they found heroin, syringes, scales and other paraphernalia. The subject was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments. He was transported to the Clark County Jail.
5:20 p.m. To Raynor Park for a report of vandalism. Someone had driven on the soccer field, causing damage. The Field Coordinator said that she had the field “rolled,” but didn’t know if that fixed the damage. There are surveillance cameras, but she is not sure if the incident was recorded.
6:56 p.m. To N. Main St. for a report of a theft. A store manager reported that a woman came into the store and put multiple beauty products in her purse, then went to the air fresheners and put several items in her purse. She said that as the woman approached the exit, she asked the woman if she could help her find something. She said she escorted the woman to the beauty aisle, then the woman said “never mind” and rushed out of the store. The suspect is described as a white female, late 20’s or early 30’s, 140-155 lbs with long brown hair worn in a ponytail. She did not appear to be a regular customer.
7:44 p.m. To Elm Rd. for a welfare check. The RP stated that his children are sleeping on the couch and that there is dog feces throughout the home. Deputies found the home to be neat and tidy and found no evidence of feces or urine. The children’s rooms were the cleanest in the house. The home had running water, food in the refrigerator and a dinner was prepared and still hot on the stove.
Monday 4/11
1:20 p.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a theft. A woman reported that while she was at a bar, someone took her purse and coat from her chair. There are no suspects.
4:22 p.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived to find a man outside yelling at a woman to return his car keys. The woman said he had given her the car as a gift and because he will not pay $50 that he owes her. The car is in the man’s name, but she said she was not returning the keys until she gets her money. She was advised that if she did not return the keys, she would be charged with theft. She then gave the keys to the deputy. She was advised that the issue of the $50 is a civil matter. They both exchanged words as the man was leaving the area.
6:19 p.m. To Madison St. for a report of a suspicious person. A woman said she knows the suspect and that she and her roommates have seen him looking in house and car windows. She said that he has been told to stay away, but today he came by and acted like he was going to fight one of her roommates. The deputy went to the suspect’s home and he said that he has always been welcome at the RP’s home, but today two of the roommates threatened to jump him. He was trespassed from the RP’s property and said that there will be no further issues.
8:55 p.m. To Steven Circle for a report of a domestic disturbance. The deputy arrived to find the house empty and the RP stated that they had left about 10 minutes ago. He said the woman was cursing at the male half, then got into her vehicle and peeled out. He said that 5 years ago, the male half was charged with domestic violence. He was advised to call back if they returned.
Tuesday 4/12
10:04 a.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a theft. A business employee stated that sometime between April 7 and today, someone cut a large section of copper wire and took it. The deputy called several scrap yards and asked them to be on the lookout for the wire.
5:30 p.m. To Main and Jefferson for a report of an accident. A driver westbound on Jefferson rear-ended a vehicle stopped for the light. He was charged with speed.
Wednesday 4/13
12:54 p.m. To Tecumseh High School. A school employee reported that a student had turned in a mall baggie with 8 tablets that he found on the bus. The pills had no markings and appeared to be vitamins. The pills were submitted to property.
2:10 p.m. To N. Main St. for a report of a theft. A store employee reported that a man that she knows tried to buy merchandise, but his card did not go through. She said he then took a can of pop and a tin of snuff and left. She said he left his driver’s license and two debit cards with her along with a note advising where he could be reached. The deputy contacted the man who said that he paid for some of the items but was $7 short. He said that he told the cashier that he would take some of the items and return with $7. He did not seem to grasp the issue that he stole from the store. The deputy returned to the store and spoke with the clerk who said that he advised the man to return with $7. The store did not wish to press charges.
4:02 p.m. To Rawson Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he returned home to find that several tools, musical instruments and cash were missing from his home. He suspects his son, who he says is a heroin addict, and sold them to a pawn shop that does not write receipts for items he buys.
4:36 p.m. To the area of Honey Creek Dr. for a report of a young male walking with a long gun. Deputies learned that the male often went to the area for shooting practice. His parents arrived and took him home.
Thursday 4/14
9:19 a.m. To Quick Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that a washing machine had been taken without his permission.
1:40 p.m. Traffic stop on Styer at Weinland for a stop sign violation. The deputy was familiar with the driver who had been stopped before and had meth and heroin in his vehicle. He had the K9 walk around the vehicle and the dog showed a change of behavior. The vehicle was searched and a tin can with crystal meth inside was found. The case remains under investigation.
4:06 p.m. To New Carlisle Elementary School for a report of an unruly child who had assaulted a teacher. The child was restrained by teachers and medics due to his outburst of anger and throwing chairs. He was flailing at the deputy and was told to calm down or he would be tased. He was finally cuffed but continued being unruly. The child’s father arrived and said that the child has issues when he stays with him. He said that he lives with his mother who does not discipline him. He said he wanted the boy taken to jail. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with felonious assault. He was not a problem during transport.
10:02 p.m. To Grissom Ave. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that she returned home to find her front door open. She said her daughter advised her that a neighbor girl was wearing clothes that the woman had bought for the daughter. She said she went to the neighbor’s home, confronted the girl’s mother and they both went into her room and found about 50 articles of clothing that belonged to the woman. The girl’s father said he wondered how she had so many new clothes. Another girl’s father said that his daughter came home with a new pair of boots. The deputy went with him to their home and recovered more of the woman’s clothes. The next day, the woman called back and said she found more of her property at another young girl’s home. She said that the girl told her that the neighbor girl gave her the clothes. She said she went back to the second girl’s home and her mother said that the girl admitted to breaking into the woman’s home and stole the clothes.
Friday 4/15
1:45 a.m. To White Pine St. for a report of a fire. The deputy arrived before the Fire Dept. The resident said the fire was in the laundry room. The Fire Dept. arrived and soon extinguished the fire and removed a dryer from the residence. The fire was contained to the dryer, but there was smoke throughout the house. The resident said he had put some clothes in the dryer and fell asleep. He said he woke up and heard cracking sounds and smelled smoke. He said he went to the laundry room and saw flames coming from the dryer. He said he got his family and dog out of the home as quickly as possible.
4:13 p.m. To Hartley Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she and her son were arguing over shoes. She was adamant that the argument was only verbal. The son relayed a similar story.
6:07 p.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a theft. A man reported that around 1:30, he heard a car door slam. He said he looked outside but didn’t see anything. He said that this morning he noticed that his barn doors were damaged and a 4-wheeler was missing. He has no suspects.
6:33 p.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that a woman and her boyfriend in the apartment above hers had been arguing for thirty minutes. She said he asked them to keep the noise down and the boyfriend just stomped on the floor. She said this is an ongoing issue. The boyfriend was contacted and he said that he and his girlfriend were arguing over some issues they were having, but that they had worked things out. He was advised to keep the noise down out of respect for his neighbors.
Saturday 4/16
3:12 p.m. To Daleridge Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he wanted his girlfriend trespassed from his property. The couple has an extensive call history. He said that his girlfriend was at his home asking for money and left with his cell phone when he refused to pay her. He denied any violence and just wanted his phone back. The girlfriend said that she has been off of drugs for five days. She said that her boyfriend exerts control over her with drugs that he supplies her. She said she went to collect $100 that he owed her and would not pay. She said that she was using his phone when he became irate and chased her out of the house. She said he then chased her down, grabbed her by the arms and struck her twice in the face. She said she did not mean to run off with the phone. A witness said he saw the man nearly hit the woman with his vehicle but did not see him strike her. The phone was returned and the woman was trespassed. The man was charged with assault, and he became irate and said that the woman should be charged for stealing the phone. He was advised that he would discuss that issue with the Prosecutor’s office.
3:26 p.m. To White Pine St. for a report of a dog left in a vehicle. The deputy arrived to find a vehicle in the driveway with a dog inside. No one was home at the residence. He had dispatch call the registered owner. The owner said the dog belongs to a friend who often leaves the dog in the vehicle. The dog had food and water and the windows were open about two inches. The dog’s owner was called and he said he only leaves the dog in the vehicle for about two hours at a time. When the deputy left, the dog was on a leash in the back yard. A report was forwarded to the Humane Society.
7:00 p.m. To Todd Lee Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he received a call from his bank informing him that there were charges on his credit card in Kettering. The total was $313.69. He said that no one had permission to use his card. He said that his bank requested a police report.
7:16 p.m. To W. Lake Ave. for a report of a domestic dispute. A man reported that his girlfriend had been drinking all day and was highly intoxicated. The girlfriend said that the boyfriend was destroying the place and breaking things in the home. Deputies did not see any signs of anything out of place. She was advised to sleep it off.
7:48 p.m. New Carlisle Elementary School for a report of an altercation between a group of juveniles playing on the playground. A woman reported that her children were playing when they came to her and said that some kids were saying that a boy had a knife. She said that neither she nor her children saw the knife. The deputy spoke with the boy who said that he did not threaten anyone. He said two boys came up to him and saw the knife in his pocket. He said they wanted to see it, so he showed it to them, then put it back in his pocket. One of the boys who saw the knife said that the boy showed the blade and said “you better not show anyone.” He said he took that as a threat. The other boy said the boy with the knife did not show the blade, but once he heard with his friend said, he changed his story. The grandmother of the boy with the knife and the mother of one of the boys who saw the knife were called. The two spoke with each other and said that charges would be unnecessary. Due to conflicting and inconsistent statements, no charges were filed.
11:52 p.m. To Forest Rd. for a report of threats. A woman reported that she had taken her dog outside to use the restroom at the park. While there, neighbors started calling her names and threatened to shoot her dog. She said the neighbor went inside his residence and came out with a long gun. The neighbor said that they have ongoing issues with the woman and her dog. The neighbor said that her dog often gets under their fence and fights with their dog. The neighbor said that he had come outside with a pellet gun. They were advised to try to get along with the woman and not make threats.
11:55 p.m. To Mill St., Donnelsville, for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she and her husband were arguing about divorce. She said that she called police because previous arguments have escalated but this one didn’t. The husband said that both had been drinking and that she became upset when he mentioned separating. He said that she began crying and yelling, so he decided to record her actions on his phone. Both agreed that there would be no further issues.

Bethel Township
Monday 4/18
9:33 a.m. Disturbance in the 4400 block of West Charleston Road. Dispatch advised deputy that the RP’s husband had ‘busted through” a door at the residence and retrieved two fire arms and left in a rental car. RP advised the deputy that they had been separated and she had just filed for divorce and a protection order. .RP said her husband and entered through an unlocked door with such force he left a small hole in the opposing wall. He then removed the firearms from the safe and left the residence. She stated there had been no physical violence but she feared for her safety. Deputy spoke to the husband by phone and he admitted he had been at the residence but also took a relative as a witness. He said the hole in the wall was from another incident which was previously document. Both parties were advised the incident would be documented
Wednesday 4/20
3:10 p.m. Suspicious person in the 8400 block of S. State Route 201. RP reported an unknown male was darting into traffic on SR 201 and could possibly be intoxicated. The male was located and was found to be sober and out on the road to gain access to his mailbox.
