Sunday, February 1
12:39 a.m. – To Lake Rd. for a report of an escalating argument.  A man reported that his girlfriend’s ex-husband will not stop harassing him.  He said that the two were in a verbal confrontation and the ex-husband was using obscene language and threatened the RP with bodily harm.  The girlfriend did not cooperate and didn’t want anything done.  The RP wanted the incident documented.  Both were advised on how to file for a protection order.
7:20 p.m. – To Funderburg Rd.  A woman reported that at about 3:30 p.m., a man with a long gray pony tail and missing teeth knocked on her door and asked for money.  She said he told her that his name was Tom Jackson and that his daughter’s vehicle had broken down at the BP station and needed a tow.  She said he told her that the tow was going to be $80, and that he was short $48.  She told him that she had no cash but could write him a check.  He asked that the check be made out to Tony Craig.  She said that she gave him a check, and he told her that he would be back today to repay her.  She said that she wanted to give him a chance because he appeared “down on his luck.”  He never returned to repay her.  She said that she has stopped payment on the check.
Monday, February 2
3:33 a.m. – To Lakeshore & Oak Rd. for a report of a vehicle being broken into.  A man reported that he was on his way home from work when he saw a suspicious vehicle on Oak Rd.  He said the driver went around as if they could not get out of the neighborhood.  He said that he was able to get a partial plate number.  The deputy located the vehicle on Oak Rd.  The passenger door was open and the glove box was open.  The registered owner lives in Tipp City.  The vehicle was tagged and secured.  Attempts to reach the owner were unsuccessful.
10:11 a.m. – To W. National Rd. for a report of threats.  A woman reported that a male caller that she believes to be her ex-husband made threats against her.  She said that he called her at work, and she has asked her employer to block his number.  She said that this is an escalating issue and she wanted the incident documented.  She said that she is in the process of filing for a protection order.
10:26 a.m. – A Columbus woman called to report possible child abuse.  She said that she had her 9-year-old son over the weekend for visitation. She said he lives with his father and the father’s girlfriend in Park Layne.  She said her son told her that the girlfriend kicked him in the face and his father whipped him with a belt because he got in trouble at school.  She said she called the school to get information, but since she is not listed on the emergency forms, they could not give her information.  The deputy met with the principal who confirmed that the school made a report with Children’s Services when the boy came to school with an eye injury and that the boy did not want to go home.  The deputy spoke with the boy who said that these events happened last November.  Children’s Services confirmed that they have an open case for the father. The mother was advised of the deputy’s findings and another report on this incident was forwarded to Children’s Services.
3:25 p.m. – To Troy Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance.  A man reported that his son follows him around the house and annoys him.  He said that today they started arguing about money.  He said that he is tired of supporting his adult son who refuses to help himself.  Both agreed that there were no threats or acts of violence.
4:24 p.m. – To Ballentine Pike for a report of a theft.  A man reported that he was gathering things up for a trip and found that a gold necklace and several handguns were missing.  He said that his garage was broken into last December and was not sure if they were stolen at that time.  He said that the guns were located in places that someone had to be looking for them.  He said that he has already contacted his insurance company and they requested a police report.
Tuesday, February 3
1:40 p.m. – To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a burglary.  A man reported that while he was in jail, someone broke into his home.  He said that his television and theater system were missing.  He said that the burglary happened on January 22, and that he did not call at that time because deputies have never helped him in the past, so he decided to solve the crime himself.  He said he identified the person who stole his TV and that the suspect was trying to sell it for $300.  He said that another subject has text messages from the suspect admitting that he had stolen the TV.
6:36 p.m. – To W. Main St., Donnelsville, for a report of a runaway juvenile.  A man reported that his 15-year-old son has refused to come home since last Thursday.  He said that the boy has contacted him by text and Facebook, but refuses to come home or let anyone know where he is.  A description and photos were provided to the deputy.
7:40 p.m. – To W. Washington St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend decided to cheat on her, so she confronted him.  She said he grabbed her by the neck and pushed her into the bed.  The boyfriend stated that he was asleep and woke up when his girlfriend was choking him.  He said that she was yelling and accusing him of cheating on her.  He said that she began throwing things and breaking things in the house.  The girlfriend said that she was leaving and would call for assistance when she decided to come back to get her belongings. Due to conflicting stories, no charges were filed.
Wednesday, February 4
9:38 a.m. – To Medway Elementary School for a report of possible child abuse.  A 5-year-old boy arrived at the school with a red mark on his face.  Both parents were contacted and informed of the investigation, but neither was able to come to the school.  The boy was interviewed and he said that he was arguing with his 2-year-old sister over an i-pod and that she scratched his face.  The mark on his face was consistent with his story.  The parents were notified of the findings.
9:52 a.m. – To Lambers Dr. for a report of identity theft.  A man reported that his tax preparer contacted him and advised him that someone had already filed a return under his name.  He said his tax preparer advised him to file a police report.
5:47 p.m. – To N. Tecumseh Rd. for a report of a woman lying in a field, crying hysterically.  When the deputy arrived, the woman was still crying and said that she and her husband are separated and had argued about marital issues.  She was taken by Bethel Twp. Medics to SOIN Medical Center for evaluation.
9:37 p.m. – To Bookwalter Ave. for a report of a missing person.  A woman reported that her husband, who has a history of drug abuse, went to urgent care in Dayton but has not returned home.  She said she called Dayton Police, but they would not take the report because he lives in Clark county.  She said the last she heard from him was a text yesterday evening in which he said that he had been stopped by the cops and that he had an outstanding warrant from Hamilton County.  She said she believes he got a pain prescription and sold it for heroin.  On February 5, a deputy was dispatched to take a written report and the woman said that her husband called and said that he has been held in Butler County for questioning and was not allowed to make a phone call.
Thursday, February 5
2:10 a.m. – To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a vehicle theft.  A man reported that the Miami County Sheriff’s office called to inform him that his vehicle had been recovered.  He said he checked and the vehicle was missing.  The deputy saw footprints near where the vehicle was parked, and the footprints led to a nearby apartment building.  Miami County deputies advised that the vehicle had been used in a theft of an ATM from Big Mike’s BP in Brandt and that the vehicle was located on Palmer Rd.  Miami County deputies advised that the suspects left the stolen vehicle on Palmer Rd. and stole another vehicle.  The man was shown surveillance footage from the ATM theft but could not identify the suspects.
3:51 a.m. – To Spence Rd. for a report of an ATV sitting in the middle of the roadway.  The deputy saw tire tracks coming from a corn field, going through a ditch and tracks in another field across the road.  It appears that the ATV was in the back of a pickup truck, the truck hit the ditch and the ATV fell out. Dispatch tried to contact residents in the area but with no luck.  The ATV was towed.
7:17 a.m. – To N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of an attempted breaking and entering.  A man reported that he saw tire tracks from the road through his front yard to his business.  He said that surveillance video showed a pickup truck driving to the front door and someone attempting to break the front window. He said the truck then left north on Dayton-Lakeview.  He said the truck returned about 15 minutes later and a suspect threw a large rock through the window but did not make entry and left southbound on Dayton-Lakeview.  A pack of cigarettes and a menu from Old Hickory BBQ were found in the tire tracks in the front yard.  The man put the surveillance video on a flash drive and gave it to the deputy.
11:06 a.m. – To Bellows Dr. for a report of vandalism.  A woman reported that someone had kicked a window in her home and caused damage.  She requested a report for insurance purposes.
7:37 p.m. – To Lower Valley Pike for a report of a theft.  A man reported that some time in the past week, someone took the hood from a pickup truck on his property.  He asked that the incident be documented for his insurance company.
Friday, February 6
9:45 a.m. – Traffic stop on Pike at Jefferson Streets.  As the deputy approached the vehicle he could smell marijuana. One of the occupants had a bag of marijuana in his pocket and said that a pipe was under the seat.  He was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:37 a.m. – A man called to report that someone stole scaffolding from his work site on West Jefferson St.  He said that the stolen items were steel frames and aluminum walk boards. There are no suspects.
12:23 p.m. – Pike Twp. Trustees reported a Toyota 4 Runner parked on Carriage Hill Dr. with two flat tires and expired plates.  The vehicle had been parked there since December, 2014.  Dispatch tried to contact the registered owner who lives in Xenia but was unsuccessful.  The vehicle was towed.
Saturday, February 7
9:04 a.m. – To Quick Rd. for a report of vandalism.  A woman reported that her TV cable to her home had been cut.  The cable company said that they had not been working in the area and requested a police report.
8:47 p.m. – To Bookwalter Dr. for a report of a theft.  A man reported that the previous evening he had broken up with his girlfriend. He said that she was banging on his front door but he did not answer it.  He said she then entered his vehicle and took several items.  He said that he did not call last night because he wanted to give her a chance to return his property.  He was advised that since she lived in Fairborn, he would have to call Fairborn Police to talk to the girlfriend.
Friday, February 6
11:10 AM - Recovered stolen vehicle in the 9100 block of Bellefontaine Road.  Deputies collected a safe and generator and transported items to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office for evidence processing.  The remaining items were returned to the rightful owner on Palmer Road.
11:49 AM - Trespassing complaint in the 9800 block of Palmer Road.  Unknown subjects were on a property and walking around the RP’s truck.  RP took photos and forwarded sent them by email to the MCSO.  Deputy responded and found two sets of shoe prints from the road leading up to the RP’s house.  The prints were around the vehicles and back down the driveway to the road   Photographs were taken of the prints leading from the road to the residence.  An alcoholic beverage container was located next to one of the shoe impressions where the suspects exited a vehicle and began to walk to the house.  The beverage container was collected for processing.

Sunday, February 8
00:25 AM - Traffic stop in the area of Agenbroad and Palmer Roads.  A white colored van was observed crossing the center yellow line.  A stop was initiated resulting in the driver being issued citation for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, refusal for OVI testing and driving left of center.  
9:38 PM - Welfare check at the A and R Reck Motorhome Park, 4220 US Route 40.  
Monday, February 9
9:38 PM - Traffic stop with a drug offense in the area of US Route 40 and South State Route 201.  Vehicle stopped for having plates registered to another vehicle.  While making contact with the driver Brandon Foster the odor of burnt marijuana was detected.  A marijuana smoking pipe was found in plain view.  Asked if there was anything else illegal in the vehicle, Foster opened the center console and a pipe was also in there.  Foster was asked to step out of the vehicle and he stated there was marijuana smoking pipes in the console and door storage.  He further stated he had prescription medication under the driver seat that he didn’t have a prescription for.  Searching the vehicle three (3) generic brand Adderall pills were found in a clear plastic bag under the driver’s seat.  Five marijuana smoking pipes were found in the center console, driver door panel, passenger door panel and front passenger floor board.  A marijuana grinder and rolling papers were found on the floor under the passenger seat.  Foster was placed under arrest, transported and incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.

4:46 PM - Responded to the 4100 block of West Charleston Road on the report of an unruly juvenile.  
Thursday, February 12
5:04 PM - Fraud reported in the 4400 block of West Charleston Road.  An unknown subject had opened a mobile phone account in the RP’s name.  RP received a bill for $209.97 and he took it to the Huber Height’s Verizon Store.  Verizon’s Fraud Department will be investigating this claim.
