Sunday 3/13

3:10 p.m. To Lincoln Rd. for a report of vandalism. A man reported that someone drove through his yard sometime overnight. He wanted the incident documented.

Monday 3/14

8:07 a.m. To Coach Hill Lane for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she found her rent and electric payments ripped up on her porch. There was a note stating that whoever took her payments was trying to get her evicted. The money orders that were in the envelopes were gone. There are no suspects.
2:46 p.m. To Coach Hill Lane for a report of an assault. A woman reported that when her son got off of the school bus, another student began arguing with him. She said the argument became aggressive when all parties began fighting. She requested that nothing be done.
5:08 p.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a found item. A man reported that he was walking his dog behind one of the buildings and found an empty syringe in the field. The item was collected and submitted into property.

Tuesday 3/15

11:10 a.m. To Milton-Carlisle Rd. for a report of an unwanted guest. A man reported that his sister had a male friend at his grandmother’s residence and that he wanted the guest to leave. HE said his sister has a drug problem and he feared that she might steal items from the home. He was advised that if she has permission to stay at the residence, then she can invite friends over and deputies cannot make them leave. Several family members were on the scene and all were uncooperative and gave conflicting stories about what happened.
1:37 p.m. To Grissom Dr. for a report of a lost wallet. A woman reported that somewhere between visiting Park Layne Elementary School and the New Carlisle Library, she lost her wallet. She said it contained cash, a credit card and her driver’s license. She said that she had already cancelled the credit card. She called back later to report that she found her wallet in the bottom of her purse.
3:27 p.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of breaking and entering. A man reported that several of his storage units had been broken into and some had property missing.
7:42 p.m. To Styer Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone entered his vehicle and took a firearm and a laptop bag. He said they were taken sometime in the past three days.
10:03 p.m. To New Carlisle Pike for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man reported that he and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal dispute. The girlfriend reported that the boyfriend was upset over her not letting him have a key to their residence. Both agreed that the dispute was only verbal.

Wednesday 3/16

10:47 a.m. A man requested that a deputy meet him at the New Carlisle Fire station. He said he sold a vehicle to a man months ago and provided him with a signed title. He said the man made one payment but refused to make the last one. He was advised that this was a civil issue. He was dismayed that the deputy couldn’t enforce the verbal agreement so he asked that the deputy take a menacing report. He said he went to the man’s home on Rosewood Rd. to speak with him about the remaining payment. The man was mad that the RP showed up unannounced and threatened him with physical harm if he didn’t leave.
5:40 p.m. To Burket Ave. A woman reported that her father began arguing with her while she was talking to her boyfriend on the phone in the front yard. She said he didn’t like it because she was yelling and he didn’t want her disturbing the neighbors. She said that she would be in her room for the rest of the night and that there would be no more issues. She also said that she lives there and her father has been trying to kick her out.
11:31 p.m. To Andrews Lane for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her uncle, who lives with her, took her tablet and her gaming console. Her boyfriend reported that his wallet was missing.
11:41 p.m. A deputy saw a vehicle slam on its brakes on W. National Rd, then do a U-turn and turned onto Andrews Lane and pulled into a driveway. A woman exited the vehicle and was yelling hysterically that her husband had just beaten her. While talking with her husband, the driver, the deputy could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The husband said that his wife had hit him but would not elaborate on the details. He had several injuries to his face. There was a young juvenile in the back seat of the vehicle. The deputy was informed that there was an active protection order protecting the wife from the husband. He was arrested for violating the protection order, child endangering and several traffic charges. He was taken to the Clark County Jail where he refused a breath test.

Thursday 3/17

12:55 a.m. To Milton Carlisle Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she was involved in a physical altercation with her brother and sister at their grandmother’s residence yesterday. She said that her grandmother is very ill and that she was there with a friend. She said her brother arrived, broke a window and punched her in the face. She said her sister soon arrived and kicked her in the knee and punched her in the face multiple times. She was asked why she called two days after the fact, and she said that her sister won’t leave her alone. She said that her sister is trying to take her children away. The Prosecutor’s office was contacted and they advised that they would support Domestic Violence charges against the brother and sister. Warrants were issued.
11:21 a.m. To Orth Dr. for a report of a stabbing. A man reported that he had accused a suspect of stealing $10 and a cell phone. He said he met the man at the corner of Orth Dr. and Smith St. and they began arguing. He said as he walked away, the suspect hit him in the face and stabbed him once on each side of his rib cage. He said he punched the suspect twice and left. He had two stab wounds but refused to be taken to the hospital, stating that a family member would take him. The man’s girlfriend related a similar story. The suspect said he was riding his bike and was attacked by the man. He said he bit the man in the head andhe pulled his knife and stabbed him.
2:25 p.m. To Kennison Ave. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that on Tuesday she noticed that $400 was missing from her bank account. The bank advised that a purchase was made in British Columbia and requested a police report.
9:23 p.m. To W. Lake Ave. for a report of an accident. An elderly woman had driven off of the parking lot and down an embankment and struck a fence. The woman reported that the brakes had failed. The RP expressed concern because the woman owns a firearm and is not mentally stable because of her medications. She was advised that the woman has the right to own a gun and that the deputy cannot take it from her. A family member and a close friend both agreed that the woman should not keep a loaded gun in her bedroom. The friend said “She will shoot you.” The vehicle was towed back onto the parking lot, the owner of the fence was notified and the woman said she would come up with the money to repair the fence. The woman was cited for no operator’s license and failure to control.

Friday 3/18

10:45 a.m. To Gerlaugh Rd. for a peace officer call. A man reported that he had been staying with his girlfriend on Gerlaugh Rd. He said they recently broke up and needed to get his clothes. The deputy followed him to the apartment but got no answer at the door. The deputy advised him that he would try to contact her. The girlfriend contacted the deputy a few hours later and said that she had been trying to get the man to pick up his clothes for several days, but he refused to do so. She said she told him that if he doesn’t pick them up, she would put them in the dumpster, which she did. She said that she informed the man of this repeatedly.
11:14 a.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a theft. The CEO of a home health care company reported that a former employee who she fired two weeks ago had illegally taken company documents that had personal information on several patients. She said that if the woman returned the documents, no action would be taken. The employee was contacted and returned the documents.
11:58 p.m. To Rawson Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man had reported that his daughter had a taser and was threatening his wife with it. Deputies arrived to find the daughter in the front yard. She took a taser from her pocket and dropped it on the ground. She was very angry and not very cooperative. The mother and father stated that the daughter aggressively charged the mother and said “I will light you up.” The daughter was charged with one count of Domestic Violence. The taser was collected and submitted for evidence.

Saturday 3/19

8:00 a.m. A deputy saw a man walking to the door of the Tavernette and asked what he was doing. The man replied that he was waiting to take his family to breakfast. He was advised that the restaurant was closed, and the man said that he would take his family elsewhere. He had no ID and no driver’s license. He was found to have marijuana in his pocket and was so charged.
11:23 a.m. To Greenacres Dr. An anonymous caller reported that the front door of a vacant home was broken and the interior door was open. The house was checked and no one was inside.
12:00 p.m. Traffic stop on E. Lake Ave. As the deputy approached the vehicle, he could smell the odor of marijuana. He checked the vehicle and found a bag of marijuana and a pipe with marijuana in it. The driver was cited for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
5:41 p.m. To N. Main St. for a report of a theft. A store employee reported that a customer told him that a suspect had stolen merchandise from the store. He said he reviewed surveillance video which showed only the side of the suspect’s face. He said that his manager would provide a copy of the video when she came to work.

4:33 p.m. Missing juvenile reported in the 5000 block of Studebaker Road. No further information available.

Saturday 3/19

7:43 p.m. Suspicious activity at Big Mike’s BP, 8561 S. State Route 201. Employees advised they were suspicious of a credit card skimmer being used on pump 1. This case is pending.

Tuesday 3/22

1:08 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of Sullivan Road and US Route 40. Deputy was on patrol in the area and observed headlights traveling east bound through a field belonging to Tri-Cities Waste Water. Deputy spotlighted three (3) four-wheelers and activated his overhead emergency lights. One four-wheeler took off north bound towards Ross Road. The other two passed the deputy traveling south on Sullivan Road. Dispatch was notified the deputy was following a blue and white Yamaha and it was attempting to flee from hm. The four-wheeler turned east bound on US Route 40, running a stop sign, turning south bound on Wildcat Road traveling at a speed of 38 mph. The driver turned eastbound on Kellenburger Road, drove off the road into the Trimble parking lot in what was believed to be an attempt to ditch the deputy. The driver then made a U-turn and headed back the direction they had come from. Using his PA system, the deputy made several attempts to advise the driver to stop. The driver continued north on US Rt 40 and crossed the Taylorsville Dam. Entering the park the driver ran into a wooded split rail fence prompting the driver and passenger to bail off the four-wheeler. They dropped to the ground in a prone out position where they were detained. Five River’s Metro, Huber Heights and Vandalia Police Departments assisted with their apprehension. The driver was identified as David Brophy stated he ran from the deputy because he didn’t want to get caught and go to jail. The passenger stated he kept asking Brophy to stop. The passenger was released to a family member. Saunder’s Towing responded and removed the four-wheeler. Brophy was transported to the Miami County Sheriff’s office where he was incarcerated for failure to comply, criminal trespassing, no operator’s license and prohibited acts. While booking Brophy, Tipp City PD was dispatched to Speedway for a four-wheeler sitting at the gas pump. Christopher Harris was placed into custody and transported to the Miami County Sheriff’s office. Harris admitted he saw a spotlight and that is when he decided to take off. Harris was incarcerated for failure to comply and criminal trespassing.

Wednesday 3/23

8:50 a.m. Fraud reported in the 9300 block of Palmer Road. Unknown person had created fake checks with the RPs’ account number and had been using them in Pittsburg, PA area. RP filed a complaint with the bank and closed the account. Bank requested a police report to document the incident.
8:16 p.m. Suspicious activity reported in the 6000 block of Agenbroad Road.
