Sunday 2/28

11:04 a.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a domestic dispute. A woman reported that she was involved in a verbal dispute with her boyfriend and that he left with their child. She was bleeding from her knee and said that she had tripped and fell down the steps. She refused to cooperate.
12:02 p.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that she has been gone for three weeks. When she returned, she said that her TV and DVD player were missing. She said her daughter’s grandfather had been checking on her apartment while she was gone and that they were there about 3-4 days ago. She said that he probably forgot to lock the deadbolt lock because there were no signs of forced entry.
4:31 p.m. To Lake Rd. A woman reported that she received a text message from her daughter’s boyfriend’s father stating “she needs to find his son or he is going to report her for abduction.” She said she replied, “You’re the parent of the child and I know where my daughter is.” She said she wanted the incident documented in case there are further problems.
11:25 p.m. To Jason Dr. for a report of a violation of a protection order. A woman reported that she has a protection order against her ex-boyfriend and that he has text messaged her. She said that she is worried about him because he just became homeless and is very upset with her. She was advised that deputies would be in the area tonight and to call if there are any problems.

Monday 2/29

2:54 p.m. To the 6300 block of New Carlisle Pike for a report of an accident. A driver was backing out of a parking spot and struck a telephone pole.
2:50 p.m. To New Carlisle Pike for a report of a theft. A woman reported that on Friday her mailman said that her mailbox was full. She said that today it was empty. She said that she receives mail at that location but does not live there. She suspects her neighbor, with whom she has had issues in the past, but has no proof.
4:30 p.m. The Sheriff received an e-mail from a Bethel Township resident complaining about constant gunfire coming from a Cloverdale Rd. address and forwarded it to a deputy. The Cloverdale resident said that he does target practice from time to time. He was provided a copy of the township nuisance resolution and agreed to comply with it.
5:35 p.m. To McAdams Dr. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that a woman in front of her in the checkout line was causing a scene because she could not use her WIC coupons for some items she was purchasing. She said that she asked the woman to move on so she could check out. She said the woman intentionally ran her shopping cart into her leg. A store employee confirmed her story but was unable to identify the woman from a photo lineup.
6:00 p.m. To Fields Rd. A woman reported receiving several phone calls from a blocked number. The caller did not say anything. She suspects that they came from her ex-boyfriend and wanted the incident documented in case there were any problems in the future.
10:10 p.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a domestic dispute. A woman reported that she was arguing with her niece because she thought the niece needed a squad. Both said that they had too much to drink tonight and had worked things out before deputies arrived. While speaking with the women, a deputy saw a plastic bag containing a green vegetable substance in plain view. At first all subjects denied knowing who it belonged to, then the woman said that it belonged to her niece’s boyfriend. He admitted to ownership and was charged with one count of possession of marijuana.

Tuesday 3/ 1

5:46 p.m. To Wellington Dr. for a report of a male not breathing. Deputies arrived to find a male subject on the floor and a female doing CPR on him. The deputy was able to find a pulse. Bethel Twp EMS arrived and administered one dose of Narcan. The subject immediately responded. He was transported to Huber ER for evaluation. Checking the immediate area, deputies found a small white chunky material on the kitchen counter. Next to the male subject deputies found the top cap and needle cap to a syringe. In the bathroom were found two partial clear capsules and one amber colored capsule. All items were taken into property. The white substance was sent for analysis. Drug charges may be pending.

Wednesday 3/ 2

3:18 p.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported finding a receipt that showed that the father of her child had pawned her laptop computer. She said that she did not give him permission to pawn it, and that it contained her personal information and resumes. She said she had contacted the store and they said that they couldn’t do anything about it at that time. The male subject stated that he did pawn the laptop and that the woman told him to do so because they needed money. He said that he would go back to the store, pay the pawn fee and get the laptop back.

Thursday 3/ 3

6:22 a.m. To Scott St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she was leaving for work and asked her boyfriend to watch their daughter. She said he became upset and pushed her against a wall. She said that he tried to take the child with him, but she would not allow it because he was up all night drinking and his vehicle had bad brakes. She said he was arguing as he was leaving and broke the door as he left. She said she followed him and he threw a kids bicycle at her. Deputies spoke with the boyfriend at his home and said that she threw the baby on him and said that he needed to watch her. The boyfriend, Cody Masters, was charged with one count of felony domestic violence and one count of misdemeanor assault. He has previous convictions for domestic violence.
5:22 p.m. To Ballentine Pike for a peace officer call. A woman reported that she returned home and her boyfriend had posted a 3-day eviction notice. She said that she had texted him telling him that she was coming to get her possessions and wanted a deputy to be present. The boyfriend stated that her possessions were in a trailer in the driveway. She collected some of them and made arrangements to come back later to get the rest. The woman said that some of her possessions were not in the trailer. She was advised that this is a civil issue.
8:09 p.m. To Lincoln Dr. for a report of a custody dispute. A man reported that he went to drop off his kids at their mother’s home and she was not there. He said he waited for 15 minutes and she did not show up. He said he called her and she stated that she went out to get something to eat. He said he went back to his home and she arrived shortly afterward and was yelling at him. He said that his lawyer advised for him to get documentation of any incidents with her, and requested that a report be filed.
8:16 p.m. To Woodbury Rd. for a report of a man with a handgun yelling at a female victim. The woman said that the man had left before deputies arrived. She said that she had arrived in her apartment to find the man in her living room. She said he began asking for his computer that was stolen and was in her home. She said she did not have his computer, and he pulled a gun and threatened to kill her. She said he then grabbed her phone and left. She said she chased him to his vehicle and got her phone back. She said that she believed this stemmed from a drug deal involving her son.

Friday 3/ 4

2:30 p.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of an accident. A man reported that he was backing out of a parking space and was struck by another vehicle which left the scene. There was only minor damage to his vehicle.
6:05 p.m. To Woodbury Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her son took tools out of her boyfriend’s vehicle. She said that her son had called her earlier in the day and demanded that she pick him up in Springfield. She said that when she refused, her son said that he would kill her and make her life a “living hell.” She said that she wanted to press charges. Deputies learned that the son, James Riley III, has two previous domestic violence convictions and that she has a protection order against him. A warrant was requested against Riley for one count of domestic violence, one count of aggravated menacing and one count of violating a protection order.
8:05 p.m. To Scott St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone took the rear license plate from his vehicle while it was parked outside of his residence. There are no suspects.
10:16 p.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a custody dispute. A man reported that he has full custody of his 12-year-old daughter, but that she has asked to spend more time with her mother in Indiana. He said that he has allowed her to stay there more. He said that they were to meet today so he could get the child, and that she had texted him saying that she could not meet today. He said that he wanted the incident documented.

Saturday 3/ 5

5:40 a.m. To Rawson Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he had left his cell phone on his porch last night, then went back out to find the phone was gone. There are no suspects.
6:20 a.m. To Forest Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that the father of her child came to her home, was upset with her and started yelling at her about people coming to her apartment. She said that he “appeared to be on something.” She said she asked him to leave several times but he would not. She said he took a chair and blocked her from leaving and said “I’m going to kill you and your friends.” She said that she saw a gun lying on his lap and was in fear for her life. She said he took the keys to her vehicle and was starting to leave. She said she went outside to get her keys and he was demanding that she take him to Riverside. She refused and he tried to destroy the inside of the vehicle. She said he kicked the windshield and damaged the gear shift.
3:45 p.m. To Edgebrook Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she and her husband are in the process of divorcing and that she asked him to stay at his parents’ home. She said that she does not feel safe with him in the home and is afraid that he might become physical. The husband said that his wife had called him to come and get his possessions. He said that they were talking but that voices were never raised and that no threats were made.
5:28 p.m. To Lincoln Rd. for a report of threats. A man reported that he has an ongoing issue with another man over a dirt bike. He said that the subject believes that the bike that he bought from the man was stolen back by the man. He said that the subject made a comment on social media that if he found out that the man took his bike, there would be a “bumpy ride.” The subject was contacted and said that he was talking about the dirt bike when he made the “bumpy ride” comment. He was advised to remember that comments on social media could be taken out of context.
6:22 p.m. To Lakeshore Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she received a notice from Xenia PD about a vehicle being in violation of a parking ordinance. She said that the plates on the vehicle in Xenia had been removed from her vehicle over a year ago and placed in her garage. She said she went to look for the plates but they were missing. The plates were entered as stolen.
10:59 p.m. To Winchester Rd. for a report of found property. Bethel Twp Fire Dept. reported finding a syringe on a window sill while investigating a fire. The syringe was submitted into property.

Friday 3/4

12:10 p.m. Disturbance reported in the 4400 block of West Charleston Road. Before deputies arrival a male had left the residence in his vehicle. RPs both stated that Jordan Schwartz was at this residence working on his truck. He came inside and started arguing with a female. The female had asked him to leave or she would call the police. She said Schwartz grabbed her phone and threw it down. She further stated he then grabbed her and pushed her around in the kitchen until the male RP was able to pull him away. It was reported that Schwartz then punched the male in the face and left the residence. Deputies were able to see that both had red marks and some bruising on their bodies. Both wished to file domestic charges. A Tipp City officer located Schwartz at a Willow Glen address where he was taken into custody on two counts of domestic violence and one count of disrupting public services.

Monday 3/7

3:03 p.m. Telecommunication harassment in the 9400 block of State Route 202. RP reported an individual was harassing her daughter through social media and telephone.

Tuesday 3/8

10:43 a.m. Fraud reported in the 9000 block of Bellefontaine Road, RP was at the MCSO to report a theft of a computer and fraudulent activity. Case Pending.
4:59 p.m. Found property in the 5200 block of S. State Route 201. RP had been out for a morning walk and found a pipe that appeared to be used for drugs. RP picked the pipe up and returned to his residence and wanted to turn it over to a deputy. The pipe will be destroyed

Wednesday 3/9

12:12 p.m. Theft not in progress in the 8800 block of E. State Route 571. RP reported an employee from a moving company had stolen figurines while they were packing on March 7, The Deputy contacted the moving company and spoke with an employee. She stated she was familiar with the RP and the accusations. Employee said the RP’s son had contracted with the company to move items from the residence and not all items were removed. The RP had been president the entire time the moving company was there. Case Pending.
