1:11 a.m. Traffic stop on N. Main St. The registration came back as a stolen vehicle. The suspect vehicle took off at a high rate of speed and a chase ensued. The deputy lost the vehicle on 235 at Marquart Rd. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

1:49 p.m. To Oaklawn Ave. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that several items were missing from her home. She suspects her son’s female friend. She did not know the suspect’s last name.

5:15 p.m. Lake Ave. for a peace officer call. A woman asked that she accompany her to pick up her child. She showed court papers from Miami County giving her emergency custody. She said that this morning she was awarded a protection order, but it had not yet been served. Deputies accompanied her to a home on Funston Ave. Her ex-husband asked why a protection order was issued, and he was advised to contact Miami County Courts. He said that, upon advice of his attorney, he was not giving up the child until he was served the protection order. Deputies advised that they could contact Miami County to see if they could serve the order. He said that was not necessary. He got the child ready and the mother took the child.

5:21 p.m. To Lake Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone forced entry to his detached garage. Several items were stolen.

1:00 a.m. To Todd Lee Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported money stolen. Deputies found her crying. A man at the home said that someone took about $300 out of her purse and he kicked the suspect out. No one would give a name of the suspect. Deputies were called back at 1:42 for a report of an assault. The residents then identified the name of the suspect who took the money from the woman’s purse. They said that the suspect returned and they started arguing about the money and the suspect was mad that deputies were called. They said the suspect then hit the victim in the face and pushed her. They said the suspect then took the victim’s phone and left. The victim was bleeding from her lip and chin but refused medical attention. No one wished to press charges.

6:00 a.m. To the 200 block of N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of an accident. A southbound driver slid off of the left side of the road, struck a road sign and landed in a yard. The driver was not located. The vehicle had been reported stolen overnight.

3:48 p.m. To N. Hampton Rd., Donnelsville, for a report of possible criminal mischief. A man reported that neighborhood kids had been aggravating him while he was in his back yard. The RP’s mother stated that she had told him several times to stay away from the neighborhood kids.

11:55 p.m. To Hocker Ave. for a report of an unknown person trying to force entry to his apartment. A man reported that he and his girlfriend returned home to find the front door damaged from an attempt at forced entry. Entry was not made and nothing was missing. He requested a report for his landlord.

5:06 p.m. An Osborn Rd. resident flagged a deputy down at the Bethel Twp. offices on Lake Rd. to report a stolen handgun. He said a Ruger P-89 was taken from his dresser drawer. He suspects his step-daughter. The gun was entered as stolen.

6:55 p.m. To Glenapple Dr. for a report of an open door at a vacant house. Deputies arrived to find that the door had been kicked in. There was no one inside, but it appeared as if the house was in the process of being remodeled. A neighbor gave a name of a possible property owner, but no phone number was found. Deputies were unable to secure the door.

3:52 a.m. To Mark Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man stated that he had been arguing with his girlfriend all day and wanted to get his clothes so he could leave. The girlfriend said the man was acting weird and seemed as if he thought someone was in the home with her. The man was charged with criminal trespassing and transported to his mother’s home.

8:04 a.m. Dispatch received a call from Dayton Police advising that they had received a call from a vehicle owner stating that he was on Oaklawn Rd. While enroute to that location, an abandoned Lincoln SUV was located in the middle of Medway Carlisle Rd. near Schiller Rd. The keys were in it. Dayton Police advised that the vehicle was stolen. The owner was advised and the vehicle was towed.

4:29 p.m. To Sunrise Terrace for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man reported that his son lost his temper and hit him in the face and kicked him in the ribs. He had a cut on his cheek but refused medical treatment. The son said that they had argued and then started talking about his baby mama being held against her will in the apartment next door. The only resident at that apartment was an elderly woman who lived by herself. The son had two white round pills in his pocket and were submitted for testing. The son was charged with Domestic Violence and Assault and placed in the Clark County Jail.

10:37 a.m. A woman called concerning her son’s drug problem and asked for a welfare check. The son was located walking on Hartley Ave. He refused to talk to the deputy and was uncooperative. His grandmother was on the scene and was able to calm him down. He agreed that he has a drug problem and wants help. He did not appear to be under the influence of drugs at the time and was not a danger to himself or others. He requested the deputy’s business card and said that he would be in touch tomorrow.

5:00 p.m. A woman reported that she had recently moved and have their home up for sale. She said that someone has posted on Craigslist that the house is for rent. She said that people who have spoken to the poster reported his name as Fred Spencer and that he is asking for $700 to $1600 up front because he does not trust realtors. She said he is also asking for social security numbers and birth dates.

12:16 a.m. To Lake Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she was upset with her daughter for being under the influence of heroin. The daughter said that her mother will not leave her alone and that she is an alcoholic. Both agreed to stay separated for the evening.

1:59 p.m. To Cloverleaf Dr. for a report of an elderly male acting confused. The deputy located the man in the 800 block of Applewood. He stated that he lived “forsale” in a log house. Dispatch located his address. He was taken to that residence but no one was home. A neighbor said that he could stay with her until his wife returned.

3:25 p.m. To Speedway on N. Main St. A driver had struck a gas pump then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

4:34 p.m. To Styer Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she has a protection order against her husband and that he was not supposed to be at the home. Dispatch advised that the order was revoked on Feb. 10. She was quite upset when told that the husband could be at the home. She complained about his taking household items to his new home. She was advised that since they are legally married, the issue would have to be settled in a courtroom.

11:53 p.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a private property crash. A woman advised that she was backing out of a parking spot and struck another vehicle. Both vehicles had minor damage. They exchanged information.
