Two men are in jail after Deputies discovered them driving a car that was reported stolen out of Indiana.
According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, Richmond Indiana Police issued a “Be on the lookout” for a black Pontiac G6 stolen from their area.
A short time after this information was broadcast to the Patrol Deputies, the vehicle was spotted in the area of Home Rd at Springfield High School by one of the Clark County Sheriff's Office Drug Interdiction Team members.
Several additional marked units were sent to the area and the vehicle was stopped at Home and Grube St.
The four suspects in the vehicle were detained and the vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Richmond, Indiana. During this investigation it was learned that investigators in Richmond had a photograph of the two subjects that took the vehicle from their jurisdiction.
That photograph was sent to Deputies on the scene and confirmed that two of the occupants, Israel R Scott, and Allyn M King, were the ones in the photograph. The suspects were still wearing the same clothing as they were in the photo of them stealing the vehicle.
Scott and King were placed under arrest and transported to the Clark County Jail where they were each booked in on one count of felony receiving stolen property.
