Sgt. Chad Brown of the Clark County Sheriff's Department handcuffs suspect Larry Hall

Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at 1661 Hartley Ave. in Park Layne Monday afternoon.

“We had received numerous complaints from neighbors,” said Maj. Allen Cox. “We made a controlled buy and got the warrant.”

Arrested was Larry E. Hall, 68, of the Hartley Ave. address.

Several prescription pills, several packages of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash and other evidence of drug trafficking were taken from the residence.

Investigators also seized several vehicles.

“I’m glad something is finally happening,” said one neighbor. “There were people coming and going all day every day.”

Another neighbor said that once a woman had left the house in a hurry and crashed into a light pole on Hartley. “We don’t need that kind of stuff here,” he said. “There are a lot of kids who play outside.”

Hall was charged with one count of trafficking in prescription narcotics within 1000 feet of a school, and one count of trafficking in marijuana within 1000 feet of a school.

Additional charges may be filed by the Clark County Prosecutor’s office.
