A man is being treated for injuries after he crashed his car into Mud Creek along State Route 235 Wednesday evening.

At 7:30pm, the Bethel Township Fire Department and Clark County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call of a single vehicle accident on SR 235 near US 40. The initial report was that the car was submerged in water.

Multiple eyewitnesses reported seeing a white Ford swerving all over 235 as it traveled North.

An eyewitness who was directly behind the vehicle at the time of the accident stated that "the car just veered to the right and kept going all the way into the creek."

The cause of the accident is unknown, but witnesses described seeing medics administer two doses of Narcan.

The Bethel Township Fire Department successfully extracted the victim and transported him to Springfield Regional Medical Center.

Neither department would comment on any details of the case as the accident is currently under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
