Trooper Mohammed Hamed and Deputy Jolene Irons cuffing the suspected driver of the stolen Equinox

A 2-car injury crash at Lower Valley Pike and Osborn Rd. sent four people to the hospital Monday afternoon.

The driver of a Chevy Equinox was southbound on Osborn Rd. and did not stop for the stop sign at Lower Valley Pike and struck a Chevy pickup truck. The Equinox had been reported stolen.

Both vehicles then struck a guard rail.

The lone occupant of the Equinox stated that he was the passenger, but he was seen by witnesses in the driver’s seat.

Witnesses also reported that a woman who was in the Equinox had fled the scene with an infant in her arms.

All of the injured were passengers in the pickup truck. None of their injuries were reported to be life-threatening.

The accident remains under investigation by the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Patrol, and charges are pending that investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Clark County Sheriff Deputy, Bethel Twp. Medics and Fairborn Medics.
