Clark County Sheriff Deputies are seeking a man in connection with a shooting Sunday evening on S. Burnett Rd.

According to witnesses, Edward Soles, of Parkwood Dr., fired shots into a house in the 1600 block of Burnett Rd.

Deputies responded to the residence at 7:26 p.m. on a report that Soles and a male friend had left the residence on foot. While enroute, a deputy saw the two suspects in a vehicle on Sunset Dr.

There were two large bullet holes in the front picture window of the home and glass was all over the living room floor. No bullets were found.

A woman at the residence reported that Soles was at the home and began assaulting her daughter, who is pregnant with Soles’ child. She said Soles was calling her names and struck her. She said she told Soles to leave, and after a brief altercation he started walking away. As he was leaving, he said that he would be back, made a “shooting motion” and said “bang, bang.”

The woman said Soles soon returned and was shooting at the house from the street.

The woman’s daughter said that she and Soles were arguing, and he slapped her arm and tried to slap her face. She said he told her he was going to burn down their house and kill her.

Deputies stopped a white Chrysler in connection with the shooting. The occupants were ordered at gunpoint to exit the vehicle, but the occupants claimed that they were paralyzed from the waist down. The driver was reportedly with Soles at the Burnett Rd. residence.

Deputies assisted the driver to his wheelchair, and both were patted down. The passenger was found to be concealing drugs in his colostomy bag. Three small baggies that were covered with human waste were found. They contained what was believed to be marijuana, cocaine and Xanax pills. The passenger was found to have felony warrants for aggravated trafficking and was taken to the Clark County Jail. He was also charged with

Tampering and three counts of Drug Possession.

Warrants were issued against Soles for Domestic Violence, Assault and Improperly Discharging a Firearm.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Edward Soles is asked to call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at 328-2560.
