Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Springfield Post in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration, are investigating a plane crash at 330 Titus Road in Clark County, Ohio.

On February 19, 2017 at approximately 6:00 P.M., the Springfield Post received a call regarding a possible plane crash.

Witnesses advised seeing the plane, a Macleod Homebuilt,fixed wing single-engine, crash near a private airstrip at the Titus Road residence. The pilot, Jordan A. Spier, 24, of Wilmington, Ohio, was the only occupant of the plane and was pronounced dead at the scene. The FAA will be investigating the cause of the plane crash.

Personnel from the Harmony Township Fire and EMS, Pleasant Township Fire and EMS, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Clark County Coroner’s Office responded to assist at the scene.
