Joseph Parcells Wallace, age 77 of Medway, passed away November 20, 2017. He was born in Medway, OH to the late Donald McKinney & Milly Bell Kiblinger Wallace.

Joe was a teacher for 33 years in New Carlisle-Bethel and Dayton Public Schools. A lifelong student, he was an avid reader, local historian, ham radio enthusiast, and soil farmer.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Honeyman Wallace and brother, Richard Hugh Wallace.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Nell; children, Benjamin Joseph Wallace, Susan Victoria Wallace (Stephen Arambasick), and Matthew David Wallace; step-children, Aaron and Amanda Nell (Steven Keller); grandchildren, Eleanor, Mercy, and Frances Arambasick, and Lindsay and Liam Keller; siblings, Nancy Wallace Zwetsch (Glenn), William Clark Wallace (Hilda) and Donald Kiblinger Wallace (Ellen); sister-in-law, Barbara Wallace (wife of R. Hugh); and many other relatives and friends.

Those who loved him will miss his adventurous spirit, his tenderness to those in need, his generosity, keen mind, and explosive laughter.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 10-11am at Pleasant Run Presbyterian Church, 11565 Pippin Rd Cincinnati, OH 45231. The service will follow at 11am. Joseph will be laid to rest at New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe’s memory to Pleasant Run Presbyterian Church or the Dayton History Fund, 1000 Carillon Blvd., Dayton, OH 45409.
