Ronald A. Monroe, (Red), 56, of Crystal Lakes, Ohio lost his long battle with kidney and liver disease at OSU WEX MED CTR in Columbus on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 and went to be with Jesus surrounded by his family and best friend Bob Alexander.

Ronnie was born on March 7, 1961 to Richard (Dick) and Shirlanne (Kite) Monroe.

He was preceded in death by our parents, Dick and Shirl and dear brother Rick Monroe.

Ronnie is survived by his siblings Darlene (Dennis) Smith of St. Paris, OH, Sheila (Doug) Muncy of Lake Milton, Ohio, Charles (Cynthia) Monroe, of Park Layne, Ohio, David (Cheri) Monroe of Brownsburg, IN., Yvonne (Ronnie) Williams of Park Layne, OH., Paula (Michael) Bainbridge of Park Layne OH and brother by choice and love Brian (Kim) Walter of Xenia, OH. Over 50 nieces and nephews he loved dearly and a little one, Shelby who ruled his world and he hers, she has cried herself to sleep every night since he left.

We are having a celebration of life on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 starting at 5 pm.  It will be held at Park Layne United Brethren in Christ Church on Styer Dr. in Park Layne at the bottom of the hill.  Pastor Albert will be out of town but our other pastor Mark McVey from Agape Family Worship Center in Beavercreek will come to Park Layne to do the service for convenience to all Ronnie's friends and family.  I will try and give everyone a chance to give a "short" memory they have of Ronnie but due to family size we have to keep it short out of respect to others.  Anyone is free to leave early if they need to.

We will have a donation box at the church in Lew of flowers since Ronnie had no insurance to off set costs.

The service will be casual attire as Ronnie was a casual person.  We are asking anyone who would like to join us in wearing red in his honor to feel free to do so.  We will have a light dinner after service and any donation would be appreciated.  We also need a few people willing to help clean up afterwards if possible.

Thank you all so much for the kind words and messages on social media.  Ronnie would have been moved to tears to know how loved he truly was!!.

I hope no one minds the simplicity of this obit but I wrote it as Ronnie would like it, plain and simple.
