Tippecanoe, Bethel and Greenon will be sending swimmers onto the state championships this weekend at the C.

Heading into the CBC wrestling league championships on Saturday, the eye for most wrestlers was on second place, and for good reason.

With the momentum going strong, the Bethel Bees head into the post- season following an impressive 81-46 rout of Newton on Friday night, to close out the regular season with a school record 19 regular season victories.

It was a rough start that set the Bethel girls’ basketball team deep into a 15-point deficit in the opening period in their tournament opener, and they could never get the lead.

It’s amazing how fast things can change in an instant.

Heading into the post season, Bethel’s girls’ basketball team has showed signs of gaining some momentum with a couple of recent victories.

Last weekend was the girls’, this weekend it is the boys’ basketball tournament draw that was held throughout the Miami Valley, and the local teams now know their path through the sectional tournament and beyond as the OHSAA state tournament post-season begins next week.

Tecumseh knocked off Northwestern last week in a CBC boys bowling match, as both teams hold onto second place in their respective division of the Central Buckeye Conference.

It’s amazing how fast a basketball game can change, almost in the blink of an eye.

Northwestern To Play For Outright Title

After a big win against Greenon, the Northwestern boys’ basketball team was in control of the CBC Mad River Division with a three-game lead with three games left.

It wasn’t a matter of if it was going to happen, more a matter of when.

As the post season approaches, the Northwestern girls’ basketball team is picking up some momentum, after winning three of four games last week to climb into third place overall in the CBC Mad River Division, and they doubled their number of wins this season with the latest run.
