Tecumseh Swim Teams competed in the Clark County Invitational recently at Wittenberg University. The Arrow swimmers were strong throughout the meet, both men’s and women’s teams representing well.

The meet started with 200 yard medley relays with the men’s team coming in second for their event behind Kenton Ridge. Midway through the meet, the men stepped up again to swim to a third place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Finishing out the day, the women’s 400 yard freestyle relay brought the first place finish home to the Arrows with a time of 4:16.21.

Individually, the Arrows swam strong as well. Senior Owen Measel swam a 2:07.50 in the Men’s 200 yard Individual Medley to bring in a first place finish. Junior Hannah Peck finished second in the Women’s 200 yard freestyle.

Also for Tecumseh freshman Julia Randenburg swam a 1:05.91 in the Women’s 100 yard Butterfly for a second place finish.

The Lady Arrows finished in the top three spots for the Women’s 100 yard freestyle, with Randenburg in first, Peck in second and freshman Michelle Murry in a close third. These three ladies finished just under two seconds apart in the heat.

Sophomore Alex Kennedy, swam into second place in the Men’s 100 yard freestyle. In the last individual event of the day, Measel finished second by 0.25 seconds behind the first place finisher in the 100 yard Breaststroke.

The Arrows continue their season tonight at 6:30 at Trotwood High School Natatorium.
