Northwestern’s baseball team won three games last week to move into third place in the CBC Mad River Division, and get above .500 for the season.

They opened the week with a 6-5 victory over Graham, and followed that with an 11-1 win in game two of their season series.

The Warriors came back and suffered a 9-5 crossover league loss to Bellefontaine before bouncing back with a dominant 17-0 win over Greenon on Friday.

The Warriors softball team stayed in contention for the league title last week. They started the week with a tough two-game series with division leading Graham, and lost the opener 3-1 in extra innings. The next evening, Northwestern handed Graham their first league loss with a 4-0 win.

On Thursday, they threw another shutout with a 10-0 win over Bellefontaine, and capped the week with their third consecutive shutout, a 4-0 win over Greenon.

Northwestern is now 12-3 overall and sits 6-2 in the CBC Mad River Division.

Both the baseball and softball teams travel to Tippecanoe tomorrow night.
