Northwestern’s Jenna Robbins pitched the Northwestern Warriors to a district championship on Saturday afternoon 5-0 over Middletown Madison to send the Warriors to the regionals this afternoon at Wright State University.

After finishing second last season the Mad River Division, the Northwestern baseball team is looking forward to better things ahead.

Northwestern saw its girls’ bowling team qualify for the state meet last Friday in Columbus, and not only did they put together a strong team effort, they had three of the top ten bowlers at the state tournament.

It was a strong performance for the Northwestern girls’ bowling team, as they won the Division Two District tournament last week, advancing their entire team to the upcoming state tournament.

As the post season approaches, the Northwestern girls’ basketball team is picking up some momentum, after winning three of four games last week to climb into third place overall in the CBC Mad River Division, and they doubled their number of wins this season with the latest run.

After the game was completed, Northwestern coach Gerald Embry received the good news he was wanting to hear.

It all came down to the third period for the Northwestern girls’ basketball team last week, as they battled league foe Graham in CBC Mad River Division action.

With a lot of experience returning this season, the Northwestern Warriors have one initial goal in mind, becoming the first boys’ basketball team at the school since 2004-05 to claim a league championship.

Youth will be served at Northwestern High School this winter.

As the season winds down to the upcoming league meet and post-season, Northwestern put together a solid Clark County Invitational last week, as both the boys’ and girls’ teams finished second overall in the county meet.

It was a difficult night on the field for the Northwestern Warriors football team this past Friday night.
