After spending three years as the athletic director at Bethel High School, John Augustine has taken the similar position at Carlisle High School pending board approval, in a decision made earlier this week.

During his first year with the Bethel Bees, Ryan Rose has more than made himself known to the rest of the Cross County Conference.

It wasn’t a good start for the Bethel softball team last week, as they hosted perennial power Covington in their Cross County Conference showdown, as the Bees was trying to get their first league win of the season.

Trailing by five runs heading to the fifth inning, the Bethel baseball team fought all the way back to tie the game against National Trail and was hoping to carry the momentum to a win on Friday night.

The Bethel track teams ran at the Impson invitational on Saturday.

The start of the game was a bad omen on how this game would turn out, as the Bethel Bees traveled to Newton last week in a game that was moved from Bethel due to the wet field conditions.

Experience goes a long way when a team is trying to turn their program around, and the Bethel softball team will have come quality experience to rely on this season.

Coach Pleased With Season

One game cannot take away from the success of the Bethel boys’ basketball team this season, but their experience in the district finals was a game they would soon like to put behind them.
