Bethel used a seven-run fourth inning to get the lead, and scored four times in the top of the seventh inning to secure a wild offense contest as the Bees baseball team defeated Dayton Christian 17-11 in a non-league game last week in Dayton.

Dayton Christian built a 7-5 lead heading to the fourth when the Bees plated seven runs to take a 12-7 lead. Dayton Christian scored three times in the fifth to close to game to 12-10, and the Beed hung onto a slim 13-11 lead heading into the final inning.

Tyler Brueckman led the Bees with a perfect 5-5 game with 3 RBIs, while Tyler Brookhart added a pair of hits and three runs batted in. Riley Shaffer also drove in three runs with two hits.

Christian White picked up the win for the Bees.

*Also for the Bees, they won their third league game of the season with an easy 16-5 win at Bradford. Bethel scored four times in the opening inning to set the tone and never looked back.

Brookhart got the win for the Bees, and at the plate, she was 3-4 with a triple and four RBIs, while Nicholas Lightcap added three hits and drove in three runs. Hunter Shelley was 3-5 for Bethel with a pair of RBIs and White added two hits and three runs batted in.
