Tecumseh Volleyball- The Arrows won their second game of the season last week by defeating Fairborn 25-12, 25-14, 25-18 in a sweep at Reynolds Gymnasium.

Lindsey Nartker dominated at the net with 16 kills while serving four aces for the Arrows, while Baylee Pursifull added six kills and six aces. Caroline Smith dished out 28 assists and had four kills for the Arrows.

The Arrows also defeated Springfield 25-15, 25-13, 25-21 behind 11 kills from Lindsey Nartker, four aces from Pursifull and 22 assists by Smith.

Tecumseh Tennis- Tecumseh lost to Fairborn 3-2 in a non-conference tennis match last week. The Arrows two wins came at the first two singles spots, as number one Karli Mulkey defeated Brooklyn Hunter 7-6, 6-2, while Libby Foland won at second singles 6-3, 6-1. Third singles player Ashley Fite lost to Kyla Secrest 6-2, 6-2, while both doubles teams of Aurora Miller and Selina Cabrera, along with Daniella Guzman and Nazareth Saverimoutou lost.

“The team has shown a lot of progress in the past week or so,” said Tecumseh coach Michael Crago. “Our last few matches have been close, and we have had a shot at winning. Even with the tough start to the season, the girls are demonstrating great sportsmanship and having a lot of fun.”

Also last week, Tecumseh lost 5-0 to Carroll. Mulkey lost 6-0, 6-0 at first singles to Jillian Milano, while Foland fell 6-4, 6-3 at second singles, and Fite lost 6-4, 6-2 at third singles.

Both doubles teams lost as Miller and Cabrera were defeated to Emily and Olivia Simons 6-0, 6-0, and Guzman and Saverimoutou lost to Julia Arnold and Consuela Ayala.

Tecumseh defeated Urbana 5-0 last Thursday, as the Arrows only lost sets the entire day. Mulkey (6-0, 6-1) and Foland (6-0, 6-0) had little trouble at singles, while both doubles teams had easy wins as well.

Tecumseh Golf- In a Central Buckeye League match last week, Tippecanoe defeated Tecumseh 170-190. Scores for Tecumseh included Michael Green 44, Brandon Kiminas 47, Brenden Barger 49, Grant Heckman 50, William Sims 51 and Brett Bogie 54. Also last week, the Arrows lost to Kenton Ridge 181-187. Sims led the way for Tecumseh with a 42, Hickman added 43 and Kiminas carded a 47.

Tecumseh Girls Soccer- Butler scored in the first half, and withstood a Tecumseh rally in the second half to defeat the Arrows 2-1 in a non-conference game on Saturday.
