The Tippecanoe girls’ tennis team defeated Stebbins last week 5-0 for their fourth win of the season. Ameila Zweizig led the dominance for the Red Devils with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Huynh, a score that was familiar during the entire match.

At second singles, Dakota Schroeder defeated Ragan 6-0, 6-0 and Sophia McDowell also won by the same scores over Jenkins at third singles. Tipp’s first doubles team of Jordan Jones and Claire Wint shutout their Stebbins duo 6-0, 6-0, and at second doubles, it was Tasha Bruner and Annie Livesay knocking off Plata and Huynh 6-0, 6-1.

The Red Devils also lost to Fairmont 4-1 last week giving them their third loss of the season. Picking up the only win for Tipp was Zweizig who defeated Turner 6-1, 6-2.

Schroeder lost at second singles 6-4, 6-2, and McDowell fell at third singles 6-3, 6-1.

Both Tipp doubles teams lost in straight sets, as Jones and Wint lost 6-3, 6-0 and Bruner and Livesay lost 6-1, 6-3.

Capping off the week, Tipp shutout Trotwood 4-0 and now stands 5-3 on the year, with a 3-0 GWOC record.

Zwiezig won at first singles over Layla Jones 6-2, 6-1, while both Schroeder and McDowell both won their matches 6-0, 6-0.

In the only doubles match played, Jones and Wint defeated Gouley and Davis 6-0, 6-0.

Tecumseh Tennis- Tecumseh opened the week with a tough 4-1 loss to CBC foe Jonathan Alder last week.

Picking up the only win for the Arrows was the first doubles team of Kayla Bush and Adyson Beel. They defeated Hipp and Berge 6-1, 4-6, 10-7 to keep the Arrows from being shutout.

At first singles, Ashley Fite lost to Mikayla Howard 6-0, 6-1, while Emilee Morris fell to Sydney Winslow 6-0, 6-0, and at third singles, it was Kayla Wright losing to Maddy Grove 6-1, 6-0.

Tecumseh’s second doubles team of Sydney Maxwell and Shelby Stacy also lost 6-0, 6-1.

The Arrows bounced back with a 4-1 win over Xenia. Fite defeated Jaedan Thomas 6-0, 6-0 at the first singles, while Morris defeated Alecis McClelland 6-3, 6-0. At third singles, Tecumseh’s Nazareth Saverimoutou lost to Xenia’s Grace McClelland for their only win 6-0, 6-0.

Beel and Bush won at first singles 4-6, 6-4, 10-8, while Stacy and Maxwell also won at second doubles 6-0, 6-2.

To close out the week, the Arrows survived a tough challenge against CBC for Shawnee before pulling out a 3-2 win.

Fite won at first singles for the Arrows, while Hope Cuy Castellanos won her third singles match. Maxwell and Stacy won a tough three-set match at second doubles to give Tecumseh the win.

Northwestern Tennis- The Warriors won three of four matches last week, as they defeated Shawnee 5-0, Greeneview 5-0 and Urbana 5-0, only to lose to Milton Union 5-0.
