Robert (Bob) Lee Kaffenbarger 75, of New Carlisle, passed to eternal peace in his home on June 22.

Bob was born March 16, 1942 in Springfield to Lloyd and Esther (Grieser) Kaffenbarger. He enjoyed life as a successful grain and livestock farmer for more than 50 years. Bob graduated from Northwestern High School in 1960 and was active in Future Farmers of America (FFA) and the Young Farmers of America (YFA). He attended The Ohio State University. He was a 4-H member, and was a 4-H advisor for 20 years, a Clark County Fair Board member and president for 12 years, Clark County Scramble chairman for many years, and served as Pike Township Trustee for 28 years. He and Marjorie enjoyed time with their children, grandchildren, and being active in and supporting 4-H activities and the Clark County Fair for many years. He, together with Marjorie, was a member of the North Hampton Community Church.

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie (Knaup) Kaffenbarger, daughters Sherry (Chris) Eppers, of Highlands Ranch, CO; Debbie (Sean) Hart of West Chester, OH, and son Greg (Brenda) Kaffenbarger, of New Carlisle, grandchildren Grant and Dean Kaffenbarger and Hayden and McKenna Eppers, mother-in-law Amy Knaup of Springfield, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Al & Katie Knaup of Columbus, sister-in-law Pat Sothard of Springfield, many cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as close friends. He was also fortunate to call Gene & Marilyn Farrell, MaryLou Eppers and Jim Hart family.

Visitation will be held 5 from 8 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, 507 Jefferson Street, New Carlisle. Services to honor Bob’s life will be held 10:30 AM Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Welch officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
