Mildred I. Gilliam, age 100 years of Bethel Township, Miami County passed away on February 28, 2017.

Daughter of Clarence & Ethel (Frantz) Dysinger. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Haldan Gilliam; brothers, Chester (Louise) Dysinger, Ernest (Mary) Dysinger; daughter-in-law, Rosa Gilliam.

Mildred graduated from Bethel School in 1934. In 1936 she married Haldan Gilliam. In 1963, she and Hal started Hal Gilliam Ford Sales, retiring in 1991. She and Hal traveled to many countries. She loved gardening and hunting mushrooms and most of all being with her family.

She is survived by her children, Kay (Jerry) Ely, Don Gilliam and Susan (Charles) Black; grandchildren, Jeff (Marguerite) Schafer, Jodi Hefferon (Fiancee Dan Voight), Kim Gilliam, Karla (Derek) Hammonds, Krista (Chris) Tebbe, Mike (Gayle) Black and Matt Black ; thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was a member of the West Charleston Church of the Brethren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, Lynn, Linda & Karen for the loving care she received.

Visitation will be 11-1 PM Saturday March 4, 2017 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio with the funeral services at 1 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
