Hazel I. Deam, 73, of Springfield, passed away September 26, 2016 in her residence.

She was born February 22, 1943 in Springfield, the daughter of Burrell and Evelyn (DeMent) Buck.

She worked at Community Hospital in housekeeping for a number of years.

Survivors include three children and spouses, David Deam, Urbana, Robert (Monica) Deam, Medway and Evelyn Deam, Springfield; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Russell and a brother, Will Buck and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband C. David in 2004 and a sister, Patty Mercer.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Visitation was held one and a half hours prior from 9:00 -10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial followed in Ferncliff Cemetery.
