Santos DiGiorgio, age 95 of Medway, passed away Tuesday August 16, 2016. She was born May 26, 1921 in Manchester, England, the daughter of the late Carlos and Margaret (Carr) Olmedo. Santos was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, the English Accents Club, Springfield “Spry” Lighters, and the Fairborn Senior Center. She served as an Avon representative in the area for over 50 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross P. DiGiorgio in 1991.

Santos was an English war bride and they were married for 45 years when he passed away. Also preceded in death by a sister, Juliet Adshead. She is survived by six children, Joseph (Barbara) DiGiorgio, Carletta (Robert) Williams, Samuel DiGiorgio, Patricia (Brad) McAlister, Ross (Patti) DiGiorgio, Christina (Scott) Hackett; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Shorrock.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Villa Springfield and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday August 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mary Help of Christians Church, 954 N. Maple Ave., Fairborn, Father Charles Lang Celebrant. The family received friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of mass at the church. Burial followed in the Medway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 120 W. Apple St., Dayton, OH 45402.
