Alice Meredith Hild

Alice Meredith Hild passed away peacefully Thursday, morning July 28, at Hospice House of Ashland, Ohio. Born September 30, 1940 in New Carlisle, she resided in the area most of her 75 years. She was a 1958 graduate of Tecumseh High School and graduated from Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. Alice remained at Miami Valley following graduation and served as a registered nurse on their staff for most of her career. After retiring in 2005, she continued to help others, spending many volunteer hours with the Compassionate Hands Group at MVH. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Nellie Monger Meredith and her much loved son, Mark Hild. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn (John) Hendrickson of Loudonville, Ohio; nephews, Brian Danison, great niece, Morgan, and great nephews, Mason & Luke, all of Chesterland, Ohio; and nephew, Tim (Angela) Danison, great nephews, Chris & Peter, and great nieces, Alana & Samantha all of San Francisco, California. Alice’s family wish to thank all of her many friends for their support during her illness, and a special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Belle Manor, Good Shepherd Nursing Facility and Hospice of N.E. Ohio. Visitation will be 11-1 PM Friday, August 5, 2016 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 1 PM in the funeral home with Linda Niece of The Faith Presbyterian Church, Huber Heights, Ohio officiating. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation or Hospice of N.E. Ohio.
